When did Logan beat any Parkersburg team? I know Lancaster and Marietta beat them.

I would be shocked to see a Parkersburg team come into the league. If one would happen to come in then I would think Park South might. They seem to want to play different competition. Parkersburg is usually pretty stout in all their sports. South is really good in secondary sports. Their football is average and their basketball is above average.

Someone asked about the size and I do not have exact numbers, but I know Parkersburg has a total enrollment ~1800 in 9th -12th. Parkersburg South has ~1500 total enrollment 9th - 12th.

Marietta beat state champion South by a FG in like 2002, but I don't recall either Parkersburg team playing Logan.

I would not want to see Coach Eddy standing on the opposite sideline.

West Virginia teams also go on a points system and if it looks like it will hurt their playoff chances being in a strong league such as the SEOAL can be question is will they stay. OVC had several west Virginia teams in it years ago and the left it. So hard to see them join but maybe they will.

it must have been a different Logan that beat them 49 to 0 and 63 to 15 when they won state back in the late 90's

Would like to see the Ironton Fighting Tigers back in the SEOAL, it would be great competition, and IMO it is where they belong...but I go way back.

Current SEOAL Athletic Directors need to get out of the box and be proactive or the league will not survive. Can't sit back and reminisce about the good ole days and rest on your laurels, got to get out and make something happen.

Nope, C-bolt. Logan played Wheeling Park, not Central. I was at the game. I believe Park had won the state title the year before , maybe.

Unless Point P comes in, I don't see the Parkersburg teams in the SEOAL. Would hurt their playoff chances.

No SEOAL talk over here. The plan as far as I know is that we are staying independent until the next count comes in a few years. We were the smallest AAA at the count (782) and one year in, we were already down to 742. It will just be a matter of if we drop more or where they put the line. If we go back to AA, we will go back to the Cardinal Conference.

I don't foresee Ironton making any move that involves the SEOAL, the world is a changing for everyone, I see Ironton joining Portsmouth in the future

I don't think the SEOAL would take the tiggers back for the FOURTH time. Real hard feelings in the league for being nice to them and they take and run off when they can't win. PLus, they aren't competitive. Logan ran them out of the league, Jackson beat them, Gallia games were close, etc. Best to join a lesser league where they can win and pound their chests and talk trash..................

Ironton left because of travel not because of just because of football.
Same reason Portsmouth is leaving travel is had on a shoe string Budget and having kids getting in after 11 and near 12 on school nights.
I remember the 80's when I went to school at Ironton and the talk was about getting home late football is fine because it is on Friday nights but basketball Volleyball ect......... isn't always on a weekend.
Talk about talking trash you talk it more than anyone else does.

I highly doubt PHS would leave the MSAC for the SEOAL. Even if Marietta came back.

South on the other hand already plays in an OHSAA league (OVAC) and might like not having to drive all way to Morgantown, Moundsville, Wheeling, and Follansbee.
