NO DOUBT I AM A HUGE VALLEY FAN as my boys play there and I will be among the first to give credit where it is due... West had a great win against Minford and ALWAYS come ready to be physical and ready to hit you in the mouth (I LOVE that brand of football, being from Pittsburgh and growing up in the 70's... Sorry Bengal fans ) but I DISTINCTLY remember, before the season started, MANY folks having VALLEY in the bottom half of the SOC as they wouldn't be able to again "reload" :122249 . This will be an ENTERTAINING game and a TRUE test for BOTH teams. Gonna go with my Indians though by 10 points.

Recruiting for sure! The biggest battle coach Crabtree lost was to West! When Pendleton picked West over Northwest it was a tough one to get over.

They came to West because their dad came to West to coach I believe. But it sure was great for us to get a pretty good coach and 2 outstanding football players. Almost forgot they had a cousin come with them and he was a good player also.

They came to West because their dad went to and played for West. You can't fault a kid for wanting to play for the same school as their dad. I'm almost positive it wasn't until Sammons left before their dad started helping.

Well, I was hoping to avoid that, LOL...thats why I didnt mention that Valley is 5-2 vs West since joining the SOC2.

Look, West has rebounded VERY well after a rough start, and Minford was a great win.....but to say they are all the sudden a favorite in the game?

I haven't seen Valley play yet this year, but after watching Minford/West, I didn't come away with a true picture of either team. Yes West found a way to run outside and get the win, but all it did was to show Minford couldn't stop the sweep. I figured Minford would wear the Senator D line down by running. They seemed to pass the ball a lot, and not really effective 2nd qtr on. I was surprised by the penalties on Minford. A few drive killers. West is really small on O and D imo, but they play with heart and don't give up. Valley seems to punish with the run game according to Ptown daily times. Should be an interesting game

West line is smaller than anyone they have played, on both sides of the ball. But they are tough and will hit you. I was surprised they didn't get worn down by Minfords giants up front. I haven't seen Valley play this year but hear good things except they played "flat" against Peake.Arnett is supposed to be a good one. You are correct demaniac it makes for an interesting match up.

I'm well aware of the history, as I talk to Jesco frequently.

Good to see ya back around, you were MIA for a bit there.

I'm not saying West can't win the game, because turnovers, penalties, and West being a good team could very well be what's needed.

The last 2-3 years we've always heard how much stronger West is than Valley, and in the game it has been the exact opposite.

It'll be a great game, I'm sure.
