You won't miss anything...Valley will blow West out...Score Prediction :Valley 49 West 7
I dont see the game this lopsided, West playing well, and confident. I've got Valley by 12
IBTT has problems telling stories. Just over look him, he is just upset that Ironton may not get to 3 wins this season.

From the reading, I don't believe you can put much stock in comparing scores from like opponents. The Portsmouth team Valley played week one was different than the Portsmouth team Minford played in week four, especially after the Trojans played Valley, West and the Burg. Injuries and players not at a 100% can change a dynamic of a team when they don't have depth.

This is typically a close game and I'm sure it will be again this year. If West can control the ball like RH did against the Indians then it could very well be the upset of the week. I'm not certain if the Indians have been challenged this year. A fresh and healthy Trojan team gave them all they wanted. Most games have been sleepers, as the scores have indicated.

Hoping for a quality game with ZERO injuries. GO INDIANS!

Thank you VSN!!

Van buren challenged them for 3 qtrs then they pulled away in the 4th. I think it will be the same in this game. Valley seems to start slow but get stronger as the game goes on. They wear you down with there depth on offense.

If I was a West FAN I would not even show-up Valley by 40 plus points!!!

This is exactly why the BCS didn't work. You can't just put a bunch of numbers in a computer and get the answers. There is no number to put on how much desire a kid has to win. Just look Minford was a 23 point favorite lost by 7. I mean I could say well by looking at these numbers since Minford was favored by more points than Valley then West should win by 10. I'm not calling out anyone here, thank you nutron2012 for posting this. One thing I have always told kids is to play every game like its your last, every play likes its your last. If you do this what ever is meant to be will be. Leave it all on the field and let the chips fall where they may. Numbers are nice to look at but in the big picture they don't hold a lot of weight. Best of luck to both teams hope for a injury free game for both teams. Just wish I didn't have to work.
I didn't share this to show any type of point spread. As I said above, I don't think this will be a blow out. I posted the whole thing to show wests playoff chances. Didnt think anyone would dig out two sentences and try to make it sound like I'm pounding my chest. As far as comparing scores, these numbers change every week. Last week before west beat minford the score was even more lopsided. Like i said. I believe this game will be close into the 4th just because of their history and the rivalry they share

I look for this to be a close game. I believe that West has been challenged and Valley has not been challenged. Valley should have beat Van Buren as they are 2-4 with 3 of the loses to DVII schools I would not call this being challenged.

There is not a lot of arguing that West's schedule has been a bit tougher to this point, but to clear a few things up on Van Buren. The Black Knights have lost to 3 DVII teams but those teams are a combined 15-3. Also, in Van Buren's week 3 (the week after they played Valley) loss to Leipsic, they lost star tailback/linebacker Ross Adolph for the season with a torn ACL.

Not really, just think the "innocent victim" crap doesn't have any place in a league/rivalry game 8)

That is true and if we look at it that way then we can say that Notre Dame at 5-1 has only lost to 6-0 VASJ and won all other games convincingly. So could Notre Dame beat Van Buren? Probably, which would put Van Buren at an average DVII team.

I wasn't in any way suggesting that you were. I only cut it to 2 weeks to save space. I know the emphasis on the importance of this game for West. My comment wasn't really pertaining to this game as much as the reliance on computers for predicting outcomes. Like I said thank you for taking the time to find and share that information to look at, and have never seen you thumping your chest on here. Just ranting at the system not the game.

The weather looks amazing for tonight! I think there will be a really nice crowd this evening. The other two league games look like stinkers, a couple of teams have long road trips, and there is a game tomorrow, so I think there may be quite a few fans there that are not in Purple and Gold or Orange and Black.

As far as the game, I think we will know in the first 12 minutes how it will go. If West is able to control the ball and get stops, this one won't be decided until late in the game. If Valley is able to come out and get a few stops and put points on the board and force the Siders to play catch up, I think they will control it throughout.

Good luck to both teams and lets hope everyone gets out healthy.

As long as West isn't playing catchup all night and can stay within their run game and not have to pass a lot, if Valley gets on them real quick it will be a long night for the sider nation. Wishing both injury free games and I will go ahead and throw a score out their 36-27 Valley, no reason nor rhyme for it but heck even a broken clock is right 2 times a day. :-D ;-)

Just hope everyone leaves the game healthy. This game has been hard on athletes over the past several years. I have seen alot of season ending knee injuries in this rivalry. More in the games between these two than any other. Just praying for a clean, injury free game for both teams. GO VALLEY
