Logan 28 Jackson 21
Logan 28 Jackson 21
Both teams coming off of big league wins.
I heard on the radio that Logan has 5 players from the Columbus area that are now eligible. They really took it to Portsmouth more than I though they would.
Jackson coming off of a mid to late 90's like 455 yards rushing

Re: Jackson (3-3) @ Logan (3-3)
Well if Paladin has it right that "tough" early season schedule should help Logan win comfortably, good luck Logan!
Re: Jackson (3-3) @ Logan (3-3)
I'm not so sure Logan has much of an advantage in non-conference scheduling this time around.
I think West Jeff, Athens, and Wheelersburg are pretty tough.

Jackson vs. Logan is one of my favorite games.
Two programs with great traditions, 25 SEOAL titles for Logan and 22 for Jackson, a very even overall series.
Looking forward to next Friday night already. Very important game for both teams.

The transfers are one offensive starter and another who may see some time on offense and/or defense.
The statement, along with their somewhat surprising thumping of Portsmouth lead me to believe it was much more.
This will be a very good game.

With just 4 league games this year, Friday's winner will have a good start on the road to anoither title.

Re: Jackson (3-3) @ Logan (3-3)
Looking forward to making this trip, should be a great game with both squads .500 on the year and 1-0 in League play.
Whichever teams gets the W here puts themselves in excellent position to grab a title.
Hoping for another pleasant fall evening in the Hocking Hills, a pre-game trip to one of my favorite pizza joints Pizza Crossing, and an Ironmen victory.
Go Red.
No need for Logan to watch film this week....Breaking News here....we are going to hand it off to Griffiths, Crabtree and Farley, and then Sexton is going to keep it so no need to spend any time watching film Chieftains, lol. Hoping for an injury free game.

Re: Jackson (3-3) @ Logan (3-3)
One of the transfers did play quite a bit last night. Think the coaches are just looking for ways to get him involved. I didn't notice any of the other 5 kids on the field, at least before the JVs came on very late.Ironman92 wrote:The transfers are one offensive starter and another who may see some time on offense and/or defense.

It's a pair of brothers and two other kids. I'm not sure where they came from or why they ended up in Logan, but I liked the way the McKinnis played last night. Looks like a football player.

It should be a close game. I'd give Jackson a slight edge, but the way Logan is playing, this one is very winnable for them.

Re: Jackson (3-3) @ Logan (3-3)
ironman02, how many players are hurt for Jackson and will not play this game? I'm not saying it will matter but trying to get some idea? I am hoping the Ironmen's horses are all healthy enough for kick off Friday night. I'm wanting to see a jim dandy of a game.ironman02 wrote:Jackson vs. Logan is one of my favorite games.

Re: Jackson (3-3) @ Logan (3-3)
Not sure on anyone's status to be honest. Several starters have missed significant time the last few weeks with various injuries.
Jackson already plays a lot of young guys, but some freshmen have been playing extensively the last couple weeks. Part of that is due to the fact that Coach Hall has been experimenting with the lineup to find some answers, but some of it is also due to the injuries that have happened. Those guys have really stepped up and played well though. Hopefully the Ironmen are as healthy as possible next Friday.
I do think Jackson's three losses are somewhat misleading. They were certainly outplayed in all three, but those three teams are outstanding. The Ironmen aren't even close to where they want to be yet, but they'll get there. The Chiefs seem to be learning how to win again, so this should be an interesting game. Hoping for some old school, smashmouth football between two great rivals.

Re: Jackson (3-3) @ Logan (3-3)
On the sidelines for the Warren game for the Ironmen were:
Humphreys, starting tight end and defensive end.
Edwards, wide receiver and defensive back.
Conley, safety
Barger, tight end/tackle and linebacker or defensive end
Rafferty, Jackson's best all around athlete on the field arguably and starting tailback and defensive back
Evans, defensive end
Spires, defensive back
And a few more as I recall, but you get the picture lol
So advantage Logan as of today.

Re: Jackson (3-3) @ Logan (3-3)
Any of those bad injuries? Or injuries that might be questionable by gametime? We will be missing our starting qb but as it looks we are doing pretty well running the ball. Thanks for the info DP643.
