Why would any self respecting coach go to this length during a game? I get it, you're not responsible for the other teams morale, and maybe they want to get certain in-game situations practiced in game.

But at this point, that is an embarrassment.

BTW- for those of you lamenting over the Fairland/Southpoint score, or any other one, WKKJ reports Washington Court House losing to Bishop Ready 98-20.

To answer my own question: Liberty Union wins 27-6. Logan Elm hosts them next week in a battle of conference unbeatens.

Fairland pulled their starting receivers in the 3rd quarter and put the full JV in in the 4th. South Point continued to play their starters for the entire game and were kicking onside kicks and calling timeouts and continuing to throw passes to try and score on Fairlands JV. They should have thrown in the towel and let their young kids play to get some experience. I was told that the fairland coach called a timeout at the end of the 3rd and talked to the refs and the SP head coach and said that he was going to play the jv and there head coach said that he just wanted to keep playing ball and that he did not want to go to a running clock. Then after the game All of South Points coaches were cussing the Fairland coaches and calling them classless. Really!!! You are cussing and trying to fight the fairland coaches who at least had enough CLASS to walk away.

Not really sure what to say about the Fairland-South Point game....I was there....Fairland has an outstanding team....tremendous athletes.....game took a long time....while Fairland did have their JV in the 4th quarter, I do not think South Point had a choice but to play most (NOT ALL) of it starters because they do not have very many players....besides, when I watched Ohio State take on Florida A&M and OSU had a tremendous lead, FAM played its starters against OSU's 2nd and 3rd strings....I think a team has to do that to give their first string some type of success....with that being said, I agree with the previous posts that the Fairland coach is classless.....when a team is up 40+ points halfway through the 4th quarter, who in the their right mind runs two fake punts in the same drive???

I question what type of coach is still passing and kicking onside kicks with their varsity when they are down 40+ points and the other team has put in their jv. Also, why wouldn't the SP coach let the refs go to a running clock? Maybe he needs to accept the loss and just run the clock out instead of putting his team in this situation. The Fairland coache's did nothing wrong. They subbed and let their young boys get some experience. Good job dragons!!!

I probably would have done the same thing as the SP coach when it came to kicking off because FHS had its starting return team in pretty much the entire second half. The one time that #45 wasn't the return man, SP did a normal kickoff. As for passing, that's SP's offense. You might as well work on it if you want to get better.

I just finished watching a film of the game and the 2 fake punts 1 of them got a first down and the other failed and sp got the ball back.my question is why would sp coaches think fairland should just give them the ball and let their varsity score more tds on our jv? they scored 3 tds against the jv anyway . and honestly if they would have stopped the first fake punt they would have had the ball on fairlands 20 yard line
