Week 6: Notre Dame (4-1) @ Manchester (3-2)
ND coming off a bad loss to what I thought was a pretty good VASJ team. That's what scares me is ND is a run only team, with an average D and if they face someone who can shut it down and score some points they're in trouble. ND just didn't have the talent VASJ had or the elements of the game. Can ND bounce back this week and get a W on the road? Thoughts/Predixtions

ND coach has always favored a ground only offense. When the QB doesn't pass or run the opposition defense has only one element to diffuse. Surely there are more plays they just haven't shown yet and are waiting for league play to bring them out.

The running backs and line have done a very good job considering opposing defenses know we are going to run and play accordingly. VASJ was an extemely good and talented team and exposed our lack of any sort of passing game.
I expect ND to come into this game with built-up frustration after the big loss this past Saturday. They will be ready to play -- trust me on that.

Think Manchester is much improved however ND is has the history of being sound. I think they win in a close one.

Just an opinion of a softball guy but I could do without seeing the shotgun formation again out of ND , To me , and feel free to educate me differently but when the QB is in the gun the ball is not hidden at all, there is no deception , but when the QB behind center there seemed to be ALOT of ball deception . At NW I watched some of the game from the sideline, it was hard to pick up who had the ball, against VASJ we went gun EARLY and their just didnt seem to be any deception .. But VASJ was out of our league .. Thats one fine football team.

Does ND have a play-action passing scheme? Just my opinion but, if you are going to be a primarily run oriented offense you have to have play-action pass to keep them from loading up the box and to back safeties up. As mentioned above they have some good backs who should be able to block also. Line is good also from above comments; so play-action should work!

Notre Dame is too strong for Manchester this week. Manchester is running high on their 3 wins but in the end they haven't played anyone yet that has running backs like ND. I believe Manchester can and will score but they will have to find a way to stop the run and force them to pass (but won't).

Manchester still has some players out so i'm sure Notre Dame will win fairly easily.
