We had 2 transfers and 1 hasn't even played yet, we had 1 transfer to South Point that know one wants to talk about is what's funny. He's a starting Lineman for the Pointers.

As the old saying goes, "thats why you play the game". IF this would happen, it would definately be a big boost for Ironton and give some nice 2nd level points for Burg and Portsmouth and make the D17 race a little more exciting for the 7-8 positions.

what do you mean ? that was 1 of the better games they have played besides a few bad play calls 3rd and 7 RUN lol. 0 turnovers QB looked a lot better throwing. Johnson central is a powerhouse would give the burg everything they wanted and then some.

GO TIGERS

Yea I don't what you expected. Johnson Central was bigger faster stronger at every single position. It took one series to see that. It was a complete mismatch. I thought Ironton did about as good as they could do for the team they fielded.

i'm sorry, I meant i'm just really disappointed for the kids , the stadium was about 1/3 capacity. the kids are just beaten up and down right now in their minds, players quitting, they are struggling against enourmous odds, and quite frankly have never been against this situation before in their careers. and with the past decades of ironton football success they must have to feel the weight of the world on them.but they are giving everything they got to the cause.i'm very proud of them, they will soon see the rewards of their efforts.no shame in losing to clubs like this. and the next 2 weeks will be even harder. and the sidelines looks like a mash unit. we just gotta be patient and back these young'uns.ironton and the surrounding communities are proud of you no matter how it may come over sometimes.nobody, I repeat nobody in this part of the state plays a schedule like this. and they do it every year. this year, we are just in a serious rebuilding mode, and must keep on keepin on.

LOL, been there against JC also. Punishing running game and huge kids, they got away from Burg with a win. Burg played their best Defensive game in a long time but the Offense couldn't seem to make the passing connections. Same yr Burg had an Itown transfer in Stamper. And JC had a running back that was featured in a TV documentary. Long story short, he wasn't the same after this game. Burg this yr could take em!! LOL.

As for Ironton, they will be back, and teams around here know that. The tigers are my next best team and always have been, good luck!!

I thought paladino looked good...and thought the line was firing off the ball better in this game than in all the past weeks. I think this team if they can get Young back in the lineup on both sides of the ball and get a couple more key starters back could do some damage. We need some downfield blocking. I did see improvement on the offensive side of the ball this week. We need to get to playing defense like the old days again though...putting fear into other teams. It makes all the difference in the world when running backs and recievers are looking around to see if someones coming...that's how it used to be and we have the kids to do it now...just got to teach it.

Noles Fan don't know anything about Ironton football...its not just West around here bud...Ironton will win games...just a matter of time. The kids and coaches have a very high expectation of themselves...the fans never need to say anything...they know its an honor to be a fighting tiger and to put that jersey on and run through that tunnel. Ironton expected to have a slow start this year..but we aren't done yet...I'm sure any team in the area would like to have the chance to be in Irontons shoes right now. Playoffs are still in reach...that's what scheduling tough competition does for ya..outside of making you better. Ironton could shock some people over the next four weeks. Two wins gets us in...I wouldn't doubt but if we see more! This team don't have quit in them.

So Ironton was expecting a slow start!!!! Maybe you should go back and read the Ironton vs Burg thread!!!!
Here is a little reminder of what you said.

I'm sure Ironton would love to put the target on burgs back for the game, however even with Ironton being young, Ironton still is very talented and has a very large line. The younger kids are playing like they are experienced, as usual, Ironton don't rebuild they reload. Should be a great game.
