Yes, we Ironton fans do like to win. Sometimes stick our foot in our mouth. We are having a rough season, but we fans that sit in the stands and criticize, about what we should and should not be doing are the first ones to just sit back and whoot and holler when the TIGERS are rolling. Not once do we sit and think about what these young uns, have gave up and the time they have put in to play under the lights on Friday nights. The next few games are going to be rough. But what game has not been rough this year. We have some bugs to work out that is for sure. Have battled injuries, and really no depth to replace the losses. Sometime we need to sit and think about how easy it is to play the game from the stands.

The crowd really did get into when we recovered the fumble and had the chance to drive the field. But the almighty turnover bit us. Then the stands emptied like a bunch of ants scattering. Maybe instead of complaining and bickering about the bone head plays and the turnovers. Lets rally behind them through the whole game. Sometimes just gotta bite the tongue and move on. JUST REMEMBER THESE ARE PEOPLES KIDS AND RELATIVES. GO TIGERS!!!!!

Well put, Gus...This is a kids game....I'm willing to bet the youngsters are harder on themselves than any fan....The fans should be the adults and lift the players, not further validate what the youngsters are already thinking of themselves...JMHO!! That goes for any team at any school....Beating up on a team verbally will not elevate their play....

these kids play their hearts out every fri nite, and its to early to be polishing the coaching rails just yet. just root for the kids and back them no matter what things will begin to fall in place, remember this is just the coaches 2nd year,it takes time to get himself a solid foot hold.
if you can't support the kids on fri. nite i'm sure you can find something on tv to watch and bash instead of youngsters.

Wow, I was really surprised to see the Trojans win. Without Robinson and then they said the QB was out for Portsmouth too? And Trojans still pull off the win. What happened to the Trojans starting QB? Will he be back? Hope all is ok with him.

how many turnovers did we end up having 4-5 ??

I was wondering why Ironton didn't call that touchdown play they have been practicing!

I stayed the whole game, very exciting game. it's hard to know where to start, but first off congrats to Portsmouth, they just wanted it more last night.they have a great back, a very good qb, and solid line play. they don't shoot themselves in the foot with silly penalties.

ironton on the other hand-----they have so many holes to plug. we don't tackle at practice, have not all year.
so hard to come into Friday night not practicing it, especially with their schedule.
the sidelines look like a mash unit, no depth, poor play calling, poor use of the clock. as hard as these kids are trying, they are a very dysfunctional unit right now from top to bottom.i felt we basically wasted the first half trying to slam the middle, the Trojans had it sewn tight.we were effective passing in the second half.i don't understand having a spread offense, having 4/5 wideouts, then basically having no intentions of throwing the ball, and just letting the qb look for openings to scramble.------------first and foremost, he does not need to be taking the shots he is taking.

defensively we continue as we did for so many years to line up way too far from the opposition.you give an accurate receiver a 10 yard cushion, thrown an out pass, then the receiver makes a good move you are in trouble. Portsmouth really hurt us more passing, and the throws, esp. the long ones were more less hail Mary's. but their guys were athletic enough to locate the ball, and time their jumps well.there is so much more, Portsmouth surprised me last night, they came out hard the second half, we seemed exhausted, no depth, key players on crutches. I knew we'd take our share of lumps this year. --------frankly this next 3 game stretch worries me healthwise for the young tigers, we really play 3 maulers next, in Johnson central, ky.-----Columbus saint Charles was d1 last year, until the divisions changed by adding a 7th. and they are a very large d2 now. they play the likes of desales, bishop Watterson, and the like in their league, and then bishop Hartley. with the amount of injuries we have, youth having to step up. I hope after this 3 game stretch we have a healthy enough ballclub left to play oak hill and raceland.

kudos to the Trojans, frankly this series has been very lopsided of late in favor of the tigers. poor crowd numberwise for Portsmouth, I hope this sparks and renews this series. poor attendance by the ironton crowd as well. hopefully by the next time they meet up it will be standing room only like in days of old.the fighting tigers set at 2-3----and the Trojans set at 3-2.portsmouth kinda started gelling in the second half, and I think ironton took several steps backward for the season. I wish the Portsmouth Trojans continued success, and we'll have to be patient with our fighting tiger team. ---CUT ME, I STILL BLEED ORANGE AND BLACK ON ONE SIDE, SCARLEY AND GREY ON THE OTHER. POKE MY HEART OUT COME RED, WHITE AND BLUE. we gotta put this one behind us and get ready for a school that takes in all of Johnson county Kentucky. this will be a tall task, this team was enourmous last year, but ironton barely lost to them. some say they are better than last year, let's rumble and see what happens, ---GO TIGERS GO.

1 thing for sure these young fighting tigers are lining it up , and not quitting, and playing their hearts out. and that to me means everything.
