Personally the horn addition is very nice. Music is good. But one of the speakers needs replaced.
I'm sure this weeks game will be out of hand quick

That would be amazing considering that they have only held one team to 14 points all year. And south point hasn't kept valley below 40+ points since 2008.

could be a shoot out South Point can move that ball but they haven't stopped anyone still expect a good game between these two schools.

HORNS WERE GREAT and GREAT care was taken to be sure they were NOT TOO loud!!! Everyone else in the area seems to have a BELL, HORN, or Cannon and it was time VALLEY stepped up as well! The BOYS LOVED it and isn't it ALL for them!! I also enjoyed hearing some new music but agree we need a new speaker or two. Lets GET THAT DONE!!! Proud of our BOYS and our FANS... we just ALL had an OFF NIGHT. We will ALL learn from this and get better from here on Out! Stay blessed all, we have VERY little to be complaining about!!!

This may be a little bit off the subject but where is the dullest place to play football. I like a lot of noise and music, horns anything to get the kids up. I thinking it's got to be Ironton. They play no music before the game during the game. About all you hear there is Are you ready for some fooootballll. That's it.

Yeah we loved the horn my parents could hear it inside their house on Thomas hollow. The music was great. I think they used the same playlist the last couple years it's time they updated it. Yeah we really need to update the sound system it sounded horrible a couple times. I think some people just hate change. People need to remember we are there to support the team. Its a football game not just something that happens before the school dance.

The Indians will hopefully be ready and come out and play and take South Point serious because South Point will be taking this game very serious.

Here is the Calpreps prediction. I actually think it will be closer than this

neutral field
[2013] Valley (Lucasville, OH) 38, [2013] South Point (OH) 6

I expect a very focused football team on Friday. The kids I have talked to (a lot of the Senior leadership) were very disappointed with their performance Friday. Not to sell short how well Chesapeake played, but the Indians lacked emotion and allowed the Panthers to hang around. You have to believe that South Point will come in feeling real good about themselves, but I think the 4-0 record will have the Indians attention. Indians roll.

I have had the liberty of seeing both teams play. I believe that the coaching advantage goes to Valley, and I wasn't very impressed with South Point when they played both Fleming and Boyd. Fact is, South Point hasn't been tested at all. All 4 wins were against very below average teams, while the games remained competitive. Valley has played a decent schedule so far, and they have a good program going over the past few years. The edge has to be given to Valley, but South Point should compete for a while

South Point - 12

As a South Point fan and Alum I love to see the football team having success and drawing support from the community that it has severely lacked over the past 5-7 years. This is the first time I can remember SP being 4-0. Yes their schedule has been down this season but IMO that's exactly what the school needed to do! 1-9,2-8 was getting old. I agree with not playing burg, pwest and point pleasant (wv) ... SP just has not been at that level in quite some time ... With that being said I feel the best chance the pointers have of staying in this game is maintaining ball possession, you can't turn it over against good teams period. If they can score with Valley they have a shot bc I see valley scoring points relatively easily. Hopefully I'm wrong and the defense steps up and makes plays and tackles better!

It is defiantly true that Valley's opponents don't have a very good record. However, looking at those 4 teams you will see that they have played some pretty good competition.

Portsmouth: 1-3: Losses to Valley (4-0 #17 in D6) Minford (4-0 #19 in D4) Wheelerburg (4-0 #1 In D5)
Van Buren: 2-2: Losses to Valley (4-0 #17 in D6) Leipsic (3-1 #12 in D7)
Coal Grove: 0-4: Losses to Meigs (2-2) Valley (4-0 #17 in D6) Wheelerburg (4-0 #1 In D5) Raceland (4-1)
Chesapeake: 0-4: Losses to Valley (4-0 #17 in D6) Oak Hill (4-0 #16 in D6) Wayne (3-0 and 2 time defending WV state Champ) Symmes Valley (3-1)

Having watched 2 of the Pointers games and seeing all the Valley games, I think any of Valley's previous opponents would be 4-0 having played South Point's schedule. That is not a knock on SP at all, just stating my opinion.
