Meigs offense was held to 156 total yards and ZERO points tonight by the Tomcats D. They played a really good game other than a handful of plays. I believe from memory meigs did make it inside the Tomcat 30 once and but that was about it. Sheets who was averaging well over 200 yards a game total offense was held to under 100. Had 13 yards rushing on 11 carries and 8 for 21 for 83 yards and 2 interceptions. Trimble also did a great job with #21 who can fly. held him to 2 catches for both negative yards and 27 yards rushing on 9 carries.
Trimble played sloppy on offense and still put up 346 yards of offense. But had way to many dropped passes and missed some wide open guys, a few lost fumbles, Interception, and some key blocked passes. Meigs was much improved up front with their defensive line and linebackers but they gave up a few big pass plays playing man to man with their backs to the QB and only playing 3 yards off Austin Touch Downs. Jimmy Ward had some nice catches to keep the chains moving also.
Sheets for Meigs still looks like a young QB out there. Howevever he is only a soph and will be one to watch as the season progresses and the next couple years. The Trimble D had him rattled all night. Had very few yards of offense compared to what he has been doing to other teams.
Trimble kept the shut out but don't let this score fool you. Meigs will make some noise in the TVC Ohio. They should finish second behind Athens.
Good luck to both teams the rest of the way out.

#12 Bragg was open most of the night but the QB didn't find him all night

Wow sounds like Meigs played very well. Thought it would be worse. Sounds like it was a good defensively game. Congrats to the Cats.

I liked seeing Jake Kish get some QB action last night! For not taking a snap all year the cats must love having someone that can come in and do that! Watched him throw with Standley at halftime and looks like he can put it in the air if coach Faires needs him! Then again the Cats defence if just unbreakable!! Great game cats! Tomcat Pride!
