I didn't say anything negative toward the young tailback #1 at all..He is a bright young man with a bright future ahead of him so for me being proud of the O line for blocking and opening up big holes last week this turned into something negative?

You should be proud of the O line. Without them the Back and QB are nothing no matter how good they are. I love good Linemanbuckeye_master wrote:I didn't say anything negative toward the young tailback #1 at all..He is a bright young man with a bright future ahead of him so for me being proud of the O line for blocking and opening up big holes last week this turned into something negative?

Re: Wk4 River Valley @ Nelsonville-York
There were times when the line blocked well, and times when they blocked poorly. With times #1 being tackled for a loss, and still gaining 300+ that is tremendous. He gained 300+ by making people miss tackles and outrunning others. Even on the well blocked plays up front, down field he made the runs longer on his own. A lesser back would not have gained 300 IMO.Football fan wrote:You should be proud of the O line. Without them the Back and QB are nothing no matter how good they are. At this point you just have to hope that none of the river valley kids get hurt in any remaining games.

Very well said Orange and Brown! I do the radio broadcast for RV, and having seen all 3 games, I can say this......
Having your 3rd string QB (WHO HAS NEVER PLAYED QB TILLTHESE 3 GAMES!!!) is quite the challenge. I have seen tremendous improvement from Week 1 to 3 in young Tyler Twyman!
Having your #1 WR have to be mover to your #1 RB, and play the way Austin Bradley has, is quite a accomplishment!
I know these are no excuses, and I know it may not seem like it is improvement......but in these situations IT IS!!!
Starting QB Dayton Hardway, when he returns, will help greatly! A team that runs every play except for 2 or 3 passes, will go back to what they are....a pass team with a few runs here and there.
I'm sure I'll get some comments, but this is all IMO
GO RAIDERS!!!!

I have three words for this game:
Ugly
Early
Often
I think you can fill in the blanks...

Davey was so furious after the Trimble debacle that he is still spitting bullets. The win against BU was not enough to wash that foul, caustic rancor from his mouth. Therefore, he will have his team so tuned up they will beat River like a rented mule. Roy and Hootie will assist in any way they can as well. Should be a good ole good beat down in Buchtel on Friday night. let's count this as RV's official welcome to the TVC. I can't wait to witness this one. GO BUCKS!

Beating the crap out of RV will make them feel better? I don't see the parallel there. Beat RV to beat RV. Nothing more.Orange and Brown wrote:Hootie and Roy aren't doing the game....smhAmarranavajas wrote:Davey was so furious after the Trimble debacle that he is still spitting bullets. No, I say beat RV for as many reasons as possible. Yes, beating anyone will make everyone feel better. The worse the beating, the better the feeling. It's football, not checkers.BlizzardMan wrote:Beating the crap out of RV will make them feel better? I don't see the parallel there. Beat RV to beat RV. I know Roy and Hootie are not doing the game, but just having them rooting for the Bucks helps.Orange and Brown wrote:Hootie and Roy aren't doing the game....smhAmarranavajas wrote:Davey was so furious after the Trimble debacle that he is still spitting bullets. The Buchtel- York boys should dispatch the river boy's by as mush as they want. of course Boston might pull his starter to rest them for next week!

Re: Wk4 River Valley @ Nelsonville-York
My point is how does beating RV help alleviate losing to Trimble by 40? This is high school football and if they want to beat RV by 70 that's cool, but they should beat the pants off of RV. So take care of business and move on. That's probably what Coach Boston is thinking.
