Re: Wk4 River Valley @ Nelsonville-York
This will be the 7th meeting all-time between the Buckeyes and Raiders (although the Buckeyes did play the former North Gallia Pirates 4 times in the early 1970's, which would make this the 11th meeting overall).
NY leads all-time series 5 wins, 1 loss
2003 River Valley (A) 18-7
2004 Nelsonville-York (H) 42-6
2005 Nelsonville-York (A) 44-6
2006 Nelsonville-York (H) 47-6
2007 Nelsonville-York (A) 41-14
2012 Nelsonville-York (A) 51-12
If you include the former North Gallia Pirates in the all-time stats:
NY leads all-time series 4 wins, 0 losses
1970 Nelsonville-York (H) 38-0
1971 Nelsonville-York (H) 28-12
1972 Nelsonville-York (A) 37-6
1973 Nelsonville-York (H) 41-0

So you know Davie well? I say the beat down tonight is going to feel good is probably what coach Boston is thinking. And it will "alleviate," to use your term, that vile tumor that is stuck in his throat from the disaster over the hill.BlizzardMan wrote:My point is how does beating RV help alleviate losing to Trimble by 40? This is high school football and if they want to beat RV by 70 that's cool, but they should beat the pants off of RV. So take care of business and move on. That's probably what Coach Boston is thinking.

The TEAM however did a lot of things well but the line is still improving.

You must have been watching a different game that I was. imo - the D played well. O line was ok. I can't say many more positive things about the Bucks play tonight. Too many penaltys And Turnovers .And the Loss of starters to injury's.Orange and Brown wrote: The TEAM however did a lot of things well but the line is still improving.

I agree the Dline was on it tonight and when I say that the olibe is improving I don't think they played bad I just believe they can and will get better.nybucks70-80 wrote:You must have been watching a different game that I was. imo - the D played well. I saw some positives from the qb position and we had a few kids step up when there name was called this week. Way to many penalties though.

Okay.....
Here is my Nickles worth.
NY did what I thought they would do and that was get up by a couple of scores and work on the passing game. Colten Adams had a good night. His mobility is getting better and his accuracy is getting better. He hurried some throws but that's just how it goes sometimes. Our receivers did drop a few balls that they shouldn't have but again they are improving each week.
The Oline did okay tonight. They are getting better each week and they are starting to help. Our backs looked good filling in for Alex Mount.
Noah Andrews is a beast.. A lot of folks talk about Alex Mount but Andrews is a good ole good one!! That young man is the best fullback in the league and he is only a freshman.
The D did there job. The front 4 looked good, they were in the backfield all night.
We gotta find a kicker. Maybe grab a couple kids when they are in 6th or 7th grade and work with them a couple years. When you can't kick extra points it can come back and bite you.
Overall it is what it is. RV is a struggling team with a few kids who are pretty good. I know the coaching staff will learn from this game and have the Bucks prepared for Logan.....

Re: Wk4 River Valley @ Nelsonville-York
We do need a kicker bad and there are a couple boy's I have seen that can kick TJ Warren and Paul Varner both have nice legs either one of these two could kick a really nice ball for extra point or even field goals....But overall last nights game way to many penalties and I noticed even with Mounty hurt they seemed to move the ball very well with Andrews and Jeremy Warren and a few from Talbert looked good and the O line did there job and the defensive line stepped up big last night one of the best games the defense has had all year they seem to be fired up last night after half time...One of the longest games I have ever been to in my life I must say lol the 3rd qrt was like a hour long...But a wins a win and the Bucks seem to be getting better and playing better as a team!!!!
