Big win for MC. The Noles will go to the fairgrounds and put up big numbers against the skins. MC by however many points Jay lets them win by.

Moving your best player to WR doesn't make much sense. Maybe the Cadets should try Lang at WR lol.One thing I have noticed over the years is some teams are just intimidated by the Monroe Central just because their MC and Caldwell isn't one of them they always play them tough.

MC vs Caldwell the last 10 years-
2012-MC wins 15-8
2011-MC wins 41-14
2010-MC wins 49-13
2009-MC wins 41-7
2008-MC wins 27-14
2007-MC wins 22-21
2006-MC wins 36-7
2005-Caldwell wins 6-7
2004-MC wins 28-7
2003-MC wins 35-6
2002-MC wins 54-0
So is that what you really call Caldwell ALWAYS playing MC tough?

Re: WK 4: Monroe Central (1-2) @ Caldwell (2-1)
Yeah I'm not quite sure I agree with you on that when they're Eastern, and I'm a Caldwell fan. Granted there are some close games in their, but as you can see not much success. From the games I've seen, it seems Caldwell will play them tough for a half or maybe 3 quarters, but then something always happens, (turnover, long drive, kick return, etc.) that just opens up the flood gates. If you want to take down Central, you've got to eliminate any mental errors, and try and take their spirit so to say from the very beginning. If you let them find any weakness early on, you're done for. This could be a big game in terms of the PVC championship race. Lets hope it's a good one.
Re: WK 4: Monroe Central (1-2) @ Caldwell (2-1)
This is the oldest rivalry in the PVC if you take Woodsfield High's history into account. WHS's first ever football game was against Caldwell in what I want to say was 1907. I remember reading a write up of the event. It took Woodsfield's team (who I think were called the Tigers back then) an entire day to travel to Caldwell. They travelled the day before and stayed at an inn and played the next morning. Caldwell won the first game. They played again later that same season in Woodsfield and WHS won that one.

Monroe shuts down Caldwells offense. Dspy, so you're coming to watch the Noles put it on the skins.I just don't think Caldwell has the athletes to keep up with Brown, Jorris and Nixon.
Re: WK 4: Monroe Central (1-2) @ Caldwell (2-1)
Like usual the Caldwell faithful tend to run and hide during the MC week. I can't wait to go there and put an --- whooping on the skins. I can't wait for Jorris to shut up JMatthew when he catches a couple TD's.

It should be a very physical game.MC has Circosta so that gives them the edge.

We will find out a whole lot about both of these teams in this game.

Not sure of anyone else, but I know they lost 1st team all-district lineman Brian Magorien. They returned several upperclassman on both offensive and defensive lines.buckfarnesville14 wrote:How many returning lineman does Caldwell have?

I'd say this will be one hell of a game. Finally MC gets a W and now the fans think there beloved Noles are unstoppable. That is very doubtful

Monroe has a decent team but by no means are they the Denver Broncos. Does Caldwell have the speed at backer to stop them on the edge? I just think Caldwell is little to slow for this one.

You also said Caldwell was to slow to stop Trails receivers?

Re: WK 4: Monroe Central (1-2) @ Caldwell (2-1)
I'd say this team has one plenty of athletes on the field, more so than teams in the past. However, speed alone won't win you ball games. Caldwell needs to play mistake free and tackle well. Still uncertain on who to take in this one. If I remember right, it was the line play and running game that gave Central trouble against Union Local.

I would say the poor offense lost them the game vs UL. They only allowed 14 points. Maybe it was 5-17 passing from the QB.

The poor offense was the results of not having an experienced line, they are getting better...they had to...lolEasternDspy wrote:I would say the poor offense lost them the game vs UL. They only allowed 14 points. Maybe it was 5-17 passing from the QB.
