Unioto isn't playing well and is banged up right now. Hopefully they can get on the right track against the equally young Spartans. A big road win would go a long way for the Shermans confidence going into league play.

Hoping to see Detillion and Parker back from their injuries as soon as they are ready, those two can be game changers if healthy again this year for the Shermans.

I think these teams are pretty evenly matched. Unioto is better than their record may indicate but the Spartans aren't a pushover. This one came down to the wire last year and I'd expect the same this time around.

Comes down to line play. Unioto gets North (C, DT) back from suspension, Parker (RB, LB) will return. We had a few kids step up last week to fill in spots at DT (Sagraves, Houser) and RB (Binegar, 12 att -135 yards). I do think Detillion may be out for the season- that's kind of a grey area, but if I had to put money on it, I would say he is done. Unioto played well against McClain, but turnovers killed them. If the U can limit turnovers, find some sort of passing game, and have solid line play, It will be a good game.

As history proves, it repeats itself. Close game, but I'm picking the U 31-21~ish (Yes, I have UHS kicking a FG- Cozad Kid has a Leg)

Taking the Spartans in the one. Heard Parker is out. Hope he is ok but think he is a loss that really hurts The U. Alex in a tight one.

Parker (RB, LB) is back for tonight. Detillion (LB, TE) is done for the year, going to rehab his back for track season.

Unioto 27
Alexander 6

Final

Hosley hits Strange on a big 4th and 6 to tie the game late in the 1st. Then the Shermans running attack took over to dominate the 2nd half. Alexander's score came after a punt return down to the 1. Sounded like the Shermans cleaned up their penalties in the 2nd half and that was huge.

Unioto ran for 296 yards and held Alexander to only 113 total yards.

Good job on the call Dundas, enjoyed being able to hear it from home.

Nate Parker did play tonight and rushed for over 100 yards and scored the final TD for the Shermans. Nice to see him back so quickly after last week's scare. Tough game for the Shermans as they host Paint Valley next Friday.

We could have used the playoff points, so I hope maybe Arnie can find some 9th grader on film for the tanks that was ineligible and played on 1 meaningless play at the end of the game. That way he can call the state and pull off the forfeit.

Good game tanks , Spartans just seem to be letting down in the second half , they have got to turn the corner.
They have some nice players but they just can't get everyone in the same page .... Hope they can make something happen soon.....
