They obviously aren't going to have winning records.

Gotta root for the SOC team, but with what LU returns it could be a long night for West. After making it to the final 4 last year, LU has the core of their team back and should be one of the favorites in Region 17 this year.

They return the backfield. They did have to replace some linemen. So they are not the same team they were last year. That said, they haven't been tested this year. Will West test them? That is a certainty. Can West win this? I believe so. West is underdog but the most determined and improving underdog you will ever meet up with. And they don't give up.

Well look who surfaced! Not sure which team will make it ugly. More than likely we disagree. You probably would be better off worrying about Ironton. Or do you still root for them?!lol

I am willing to place money on this one. I have seen LU and West both. My gut says West with first win. We will see soon enough. BEST OF LUCK WEST!

You are wanting to put money on West winning this game? What exactly did the Senators do on Friday night that makes you think they will knock off the defending regional champions?

West played good football friday. We didn't get any breaks. We were driving for the tying score after the half and they called a fumble on Bricker which looked to be caused by the ground. Portsmouth had 3 bad shotgun snaps which were all blown dead for illegal procedure. Other than than and one nice interception by Irwin, they never turned the ball over. Portsmouth turnovers, from what I was told, was the difference in the Valley game. West is young and we are still probably the 4th best team in the league this year, but we aren't that bad.

;-) FC, your not the 1st person to have said that  I think most everyone knows what's coming. Is West gonna just pack up and just chalk up a loss...I doubt it, that's why they play the game, but some of the West supporters need to be a little more realistic about this game and who they are playing. Like I said before, this is not a good match up for West at all. Like noles_fan said, hope they compete and all come out healthy. Good Luck to the Senators.

I'm not expecting a win. But I don't think we're gonna lay down and take a whopping either. I want to see continued improvement. That's why you play good competition, to get better. It sure beats playing South Point.

I do know what the hell I am talking about. You don't know the hell what you are talking about. Have you seen Liberty Union this year? I have.Kudos to them they are 2 and 0 and West is 0-2.I will say it again

WEST IS THE MOST IMPROVED AND DETERMINED UNDERDOG YOU WILL MEET UP WITH. AND THEY DON'T GIVE UP.

Oh and Crab, why don't you mind your Valley business. What makes you think Valley is going to beat Grove? You got your opinion I got mine.

Yes, in fact, I have seen Liberty Union this year. Saw them at Berne. Sat with the Bernie crowd by the 35 yard line on the south end. Green sweatshirt.

As for the underdogs - uh... great? The Cleveland Browns have been in that role for the better part of the last fifteen years.

LU's starters were out by the first quarter. Last year, their second string linemen got a wealth of experience under their belts. Basically the same team.

And yeah, don't confuse me with my cousin also wearing a green hoodie that sat next to me.

Haha....You gave your opinion and I asked what you have seen to make you believe that. You said you have seen both of these teams. So, what was it that gives West the edge here? Are they more physical? Home field advantage? I just asked a question. That is the same thing I did last week and again I got a similar response. If you are going to make a bold prediction, why don't you give reason why? I mean, I guess you don't have too, but why wouldn't you if you had one?

As for your question, I feel that Valley can match-up with what Grove does on both sides of the ball. Valley is a physical team that flies around on defense. They have been very effective against the Hornets system in the recent past, and I expect the same thing on Friday.

See how easy that was? :122245 :122245
