Re: WK3 (1-1) Belpre @ (2-0) Southern

UPDATE: After tons of trips to Star Mill park in the spring to watch baseball games, I am finally going to head down to Racine Friday night to take in a Tornadoes football game!

Its all part of the SULTAN OF SMACK POST GAME SHOW that airs on Power 105 at 10:00 pm ... I will be down their until halftime, and then we'll discuss the game - and many others - when the show comes on around 10:00 (or whenever the game of the week on 105.5 ends.) ... our friends at 97.1 I believe will be calling the Belpre/Southern game, but when you get into your cars after the game - or are sitting by a computer once you get home - you can tune into 105.5 or wxtq.com to listen to all sorts of post game analysis from around the TVC.

I will also be bringing my camera so I can finally update the Southern and Belpre team pages on trivalleyconference.com.

Good luck to both teams

You got that right.Yoder and all his brothers. But Southern was the better team tonight, not having Manny Tullius hurt Belpre on offense and defense. His replacement running back got hurt in 2nd quarter also and that made a bad situation worse.Southern took advantage of the situation just like they should have and took the game.

Hurt Belpre big time on both sides of the ball, don't know if he will be able to play next week either.Lost another on tonight and don't know when he will be back .Belpre doesn't have the depth to overcome the injuries.Just hope these guys can get healthy enough to play next week against Wahama.

All I've seen on here is how injuries played a role in the Belpre loss. Prayers go out to the player that was airlifted. With this being said, give Southern some credit for putting together a pretty good team to start the season after years of rough patches. Congrats Coach Wickline and staff on the win. You've endured the hardships of the past, but are finally starting to see the rewards of hard work. Congrats and go Tornadoes!

First, prayers to the Mason family from my house to yours.

Second, Southern has a good team and should finish 8-2. Good luck and good health to them.

Finally, at times like these, it isn't fun to discuss the game further. JMHO

1st off, prayers for the boy hurt during the game for BHS. Does anyone have an update?

Southern had 2 kick-off returns called back for the same violation, blocking in the back, that being said, Southern either laid down or Belpre picked it up a notch or 2 in the 2nd half. Southern has a good team this year, I gather from reading some responses is that if you play Southern, 1) ref's are local (BTW, SHS had many more flags thrown on them than Belpre FWIW) and 2) it's an automatic win. Thanks to Buckeyefan03 for calling it right.
