a game that teams did not want to play....and you are correct, I was not there,,still here in
AZ and depending on posts to follow PHS...so at this point I will take your word on what you are
saying and wish the Trojans nothing but the best....thx

I've seen better officiating! Fairland got away with alot of holding! And three of them went for td's, that's hard to recover from no matter how good you are!

West may very well win this game, but I would like to know what the people who are calling for a 2 TD win are basing this prediction on? West was dominated by a Fairland team that I watched Minford shove around a week ago. West couldn't stop Fairland's spread, no huddle attack on their own grass field, but in 6 days they are going to stop a Portsmouth spread offense with more speed than that of the Dragons on the Trojans turf stadium? Portsmouth's only win in 2012 was over West and the Trojans are better. I understand that the West posters love their team, but nothing I have seen yet tells me that West will go to Portsmouth and win. Having said that, I hope the Senators get the win, because I want the SOC to excel. But I think Coach Sparks gets his first win.

Portsmouth 34
West 18

Fairland isn't slow by any means. #32, #45, & #10 can run. They are very fast

I never said they weren't, but I have seen both, and the Trojans are faster.

What is 41-7 in 3 quarters? Is that not dominated? They threw for over 300 yards with an 80% completion %.

I never once said jack about a season being over. I asked a series of questions and you responded like a child.

28-0 at the half and 41-7 after 3. You can slant it however you please and do whatever makes you feel good, but down 34 points at home in your opener is getting dominated!

Ha. Does West ever get home field advantage? Whats up with that? That's expected everywhere to a small extent, not at West, not from what I saw. If you go to Valley, you see home field advantage at its finest every game and have to be at least 2 td's better than Valley to win there. Not taking anything away from your talented teams the last two years, even years prior I seen some blatant bad calls out there to change close games. Same is true of the Tank. If the td that hit the ground before player caught it was called back for Fairland and West didn't get the penalties on both tds in first half (which they did but those are problems that can be fixed) then the score is 21 to 14 at the half. 400+ yds offense, with 5 min left there was still time to win 10 pt game. So yes, if West improves defense and secondary gets a few interceptions which they are very capable of doing, then West can win by 14 crabexpert on West. :-D

That is true. We all know there are plenty of experts around too. ;-) Good luck West, leave it all on the field.

If there is one fan base on this website that claims to be experts, it the West fans. Hell, there was a topic on here Saturday morning bashing the entire West athletic department.

I asked a question about what West fans seen that makes them feel they will win by 2 TD's over an improved team that beat them last year. I was told that 3 quarters at 41-7 wasn't domination. I never claimed to be an expert. I just asked a question or two and a kid got defensive. Like I said earlier, West may very well win this game and I hope they do. I still have yet to hear why they will. I have watched Fairland-Minford and Valley-Portsmouth. I gave my reason why I think Portsmouth wins Friday. I just wanted to know why they won't.

Crab I got to agree with you on one thing. Several West fans are the biggest experts of all and bash for a living. So I feel you. You answered your own question. You watched the Valley portmsouth game and you watched the Minford Fairland game. You didn't see the West Fairland game. Yes West can beat an improved Portsmouth. Maybe that won't happen but I think it will.Being the underdog is not always a bad thing. Best of luck to West! Lot of differences in this game and Fairland.. Lot of similarities also. 3 more days will tell.

Before you made your post there was one person that said West by 2 tds so don't know why you said West fans. We are very passionate about West football and have confidence in our team as you and your fans are about Valley. Not taking anything away from Fairland they had very good offensive game plan and their qb made some outstanding throws and receivers made some outstanding catches. Fairland did not stop us on offense we stopped ourselves we had the 2 tds called back from simple mistakes that can be fixed. I think I counted 14 penalties a two turnovers in the first half and I think 5 turnovers in all not sure on total penalties.
The post made about the athletic department was probably made out of frustration. Every team and coaching staff on our schedule knows how to beat us its not rocket science. Load the box and force us into 3rd long situation and throw the football. I think it hurt us only having the one scrimmage we made way to many mistakes.
I have read a lot of your post over the years and respect your opinion but I do take offense when someone says all West fans. Not trying to be experts just passionate about West football. Good luck friday and be safe on the trip to VanBuren.
