Should be a good test for the tigers. CG is big up front and they have some good backs.

Didn't Coal Grove get beat in the preview by the Pointers? Did the Grove have an injury? Hope the kid is okay.

Re: Ironton and Coal Grove Jamboree
This should be another good scrimmage for both teams. Hopefully the Tigers were able to make some adjustments from the last scrimmage.
Good luck to both teams and hope for an injury free scrimmage.

Re: Ironton and Coal Grove Jamboree
My thoughts are that I hope this is the last time these two schools scrimmage.
Re: Ironton and Coal Grove Jamboree
The rumor is that the OVC is going disband and become a new league. I think Ironton may join then. Keep in mind this is a rumor.
Re: Ironton and Coal Grove Jamboree
OVC won't disband if anything it will expand and add Portsmouth and Maybe Gallia Acadamy.
As for Ironton unless another OKAC starts up they may be forced to stay Independent.
As for the jamboree looking forward to a good injury free scrimmage and a nice season from both teams.

Re: Ironton and Coal Grove Jamboree
I agree, it would be nice to have it at the tank for a change but will it be against Coal Grove next year? Will we have turf by next season, I hear we found a sizeable donor to make it happen?Dinocrocetti wrote:Irontons jamboree game needs to be played at the Tank. Re: Ironton and Coal Grove Jamboree
I think this was setup for the last few years at CG due to the turf. I seen Ironton field and I am not sure that it looks any better after the improvements.

This game has been played at Coal Grove for as long as I can remember and long before they got a turf field.

Re: Ironton and Coal Grove Jamboree
It's always been Coal Grove as far as I remember to.
Would like to see them Rotate it after Ironton get's it's Turf and Hope it stays with Coal Grove but who knows what will happen.

Re: Ironton and Coal Grove Jamboree
this game was always a fundraiser for the red dutey scholarship fund as i recall.... thats why it was always at the grove dont know if it is still used for that or not
Re: Ironton and Coal Grove Jamboree
Could be the most interesting Ironton/CG jamboree since this thing started a few years back. Ironton lost a bunch of players from a somewhat lackluster campaign last year and lots of people don't know what to expect out of them. Coal Grove lost players too, but had plenty of depth to fall back on and are once again picked to win their conference and be a playoff contender. After hearing all the talk about the preview against South Point, I'd expect to see a bit of a chip on the shoulders of of the Hornets.
