Re: Eastern Eagles 12-13
I think there in the top 3-4 teams. Symmes Valley I think is the favorite but Eastern , Western, and Clay all have a shot. Easterns ball pressure will cause teams fits this year they are very good defensively at the guards. Post play is the question Freemont,Volgemore,Lightle and A.Creech will have to really work inside. Lightle the senior post man has to board hard and take up space they don't need scoring from him but he has to board and defend in transition. Freemont offensively is the most skilled in the post but has to go board better and finish strong play threw contact not avoid it when shooting. Volgemore is naturally a 3/4 but the Eagles lack of size forces him to get in the paint more he is all around the 1-2 most skilled on the team but has to stay focused if he does he is a matchup nightmare like Pickett was last year. He is 6'3-6'4 handles a shoots very well and is to fast for most bigs to tall for guards. A.Creech is a load strong and hard nosed shortest of the group but very physically strong and moves well. Thacker is the returning leading score and loan returning starter a young junior but very skilled probably there best player. Fultz a senior and last years 6th man is along with Thacker 2 of the best defenders in the league period. Fultz is a reluctant shooter but can really stroke the 3 . He has to shoot more foe them to win. T.Creech is by far the best athlete on the team this kid is a freak strong, fast, jump out of the gym and is a terror on defense when focused. If he stays focused he could put Eastern over the top in the league and the freshmen Liest will step in and help a lot when his time is done in 4 years he could have his name on a banner. He's son and Fitch will be critical to the team Fitches shooting and Hessons slashing a defense will play big rolls against the other top teams. Coach Fitch is a winner and a great teacher of the game he has a young team and lost 3 first team soc ,the POY and his starting back court and front court but he will still have the boys in the hunt for a league title cause that's the mind set of every kid in the program competing is not enough winning is expected. Working hard is the Eagle way.

Nice write up on the eagles lightle 04, that seems about dead on accurate. Do u know if Thacker has gotten any taller over the summer, i know he really grew over last summer and I was hoping for the same this year, I look for big things from him over the next two years, and really excited to see the leist kid this year, u r right he has a chance to put his name ona banner, he comes froma great family and is really dedicated to the game.

Re: Eastern Eagles 12-13
I still believe that ND & Eastern will battle it out for the conference title again, mainly because of coaching. Both have very good coaches which will always make sure each team is prepared every night. Granted SV's coach maybe good too, I just dont really know much about him. Should be an interesting year yet again. Cant wait to see what will happen!

I think SV and ND will battle for the top spot followed by Eastern,SV will probably have the best player in the league in Rowe and I think that will give them the edge for the title.

We can't sleep on Western this season either they return every varsity player but 1 who played little. They beat Symmes last season so they have the ability .

Re: Eastern Eagles 12-13
SV can have the best player award, ND plays too well as a team to call out a single player to be considered. Ill take teamwork over individual stats anyway. Those boys have been playing since bitty ball. The chemistry should be just as great as last years team. They are losing alot of offensive weapons to graduation but should be able to replace that with tough, PHYSICAL Defense!
Re: Eastern Eagles 12-13
Who is returning for the titans I know they was it pretty hard with graduation. Most teams have played together for years so no advantage there. You must have a go to player when needed and at least 2 or 3 legit scorers.
Re: Eastern Eagles 12-13
ND will be one of the better teams in the league but this years squad is no where near the caliber of last years. It's just silly to compare . And team play is very critical but come crunch time every team needs a go to guy some teams have 2 but there is on every great team a player the others look to for the big shot or the big stop.

I just found out Symmes lost a couple players as well that could hurt them.
