If I am in this group of 8 I would be very nervous of Fairland in 2nd round. They played Athens to a very close 9 point loss mid season so I am picking them as my darkhorse to ruin someones year, just be aware. And I know the Burg beat them bad early in the season but we are a long ways away from week 4. Not really sold on St Clairs. who have only beaten 3 teams with a winning record.

And I feel bad for for Zane Trace, they will never know what hit them.

This is how bad the playoffs have been watered down with this 7th division, it is horrible!! They didn't beat a team with a winning record and will get absolutely destroyed next weekend!!

I know no one probably cares but I enjoy comparing the bigger schools to smaller schools so here is a D-3 schools record just to get the 8 seed and have to play the D-3 Champion in the 1st round Akron St Vincent St Mary who r absolutely filthy. :122246 :122246Geauga 2013 Football

This Region played out as I thought it would. I said during the summer that the top three teams (Hartley, St. C, LU) were good but after that it was wide open. Wheelersburg and Martin Ferry stepped up. I agree with what Jagered said. Not sold on St. C right now but not because they only beat 3 teams with winning records. But because they are dinged up right now. (Wheelersburg only beat 3 teams with winning records & Hartley 4) 1st Round games will be ugly. 2nd Round games a little better.

It is all about OHSAA $$$$$$ (7 divisions)
They don't care about 70-0 games in the first round.
All about CASH FLOW.

Ferry won, so it looks like Burg-Fairland part 2.

IMO the 3 best teams are on one side of the bracket. (Hartley, LU, St. C -if they can get healthy) This gives Wheelersburg the easiest path to the Regional Finals. Hopefully those 3 teams will beat each other up and help Wheelersburg win the Region.

Agreed crack it's about them dolla bills, and BB the Burg played 4 teams with a winning record with 1 of them against a D-3 Jackson team with 6 wins and 2 5-5 teams West and C Grove, but I really think Fairland can bite them with that quick strike explosive offense I have read about this year. St C does have 3 quality wins against Ferry,Claymont and Indian Creek but also played 2 D-7 schools and this probably isn't going to matter either way because I think Ferry and Hartley will be the last 2 standing out of this 8. Wow just checked and Bellaire was up 17-7 and ended up losing 22-17 so not sure how or even if this will change anything.

wheelersburg better remember fairland left 3 tds on the goal line and it wasn't the defense that stopped them. it was penalties and 2 bad snaps that stopped them and fairland has gotten healthy and a lot better since then. good luck to both teams and hopefully not another west game

Well considering since West isn't playing Saturday night, I'm sure it won't be like the game last night!

said it on this thread or maybe another one can't remember and frankly don't feel like looking but this could be a lot better than some think and I am calling it my upset for round 1. Hope I am wrong but should be a dandy and I know the burg won't just dismiss them they are not built that way. But bring it Burg and knock them down early and often.
