My prediction is the cats are definitely the favorite to win! I'm going with Trimble ! It could be close or it could be a runaway! My bloods on that line go 74 and 42 and the rest of the tomcats!

I could not predict until i see scrimmages first, but i know NY is looking really good up front and will be just fine there. QB change could happin in this game for NY tho,, from Adams to Edwards as soon as game 1 jmo

Multiple peaople think there will be a qb change during, shortly after, or within a couple of games into the season...why not just go with the youngster right off the bat?

They did the same thing with Brandon Maiden and Jay Edwards when Jay was a freshmen ... the only difference in this situation however is Kolt probably can't move to tailback.

NY lost 8 starters on each side of the ball yet they still think they will come over the hill and run over the tomcats. I say the cats will be ready and walk out of week 1 with a win.
Great point. Think NY lost a bit more. Tomcats by a TD.

Just a theory on way they may do this. Again not an insider here or anything but just an educated guess.
They probably dont want to play a freshman against Trimble or NC who both should be really tough this year. If the older QB doesn't work out then they will go to the freshman when the play Berne Union and River Valley who they can beat with no problem and wont have anywhere the defense that Trimble or NC will have. Easier transition for a young QB. Dont want to play the young QB and have bad experience.
However if they would have had played Adams at QB the whole year last year they still would have went 7-3 and now would have someone ready.

Good luck to both kids in this QB battle they both seem like good kids.

Kind of unfair to Kolt Adams isn't it? Judging him playing against Trimble and NC ... and then handing the job to a freshmen and judging him by his performance vs Berne Union and River Valley?

BTW ... which is correct ... I have seen it spelled KOLT ADAMS ... and COLTON ADAMS.

Would hate to keep getting the young mans name wrong all season.

Thx

yes it is unfair. I just guessed they would do this because they did the same thing last year to Adams. They replaced him week three when the young boy was eligible. If they stick with Colton then they go 7-3 and he gets better each week and now this year they would have had a clear cut starter instead of being where they are now. evidently they didn't plan on Adams being the future or they would have stuck with him.
Does this make since now on why i think they will do it again.

I didn't say it didn't make sense ... it makes perfect sense seeing as NY has done it twice, once with Maiden and once with Adams last year ... I just don't think it's very fair is all.

Colten Adams I hear will do well in the QB spot. He is a fine young man. With that said I will take Trimble by 2 TD...

Let's go Cats !
