Re: Rival: Nelsonville-York @ Trimble Sat Aug 31st (wk1)
Finally, an interesting thread on here. I knew the faithful of these two schools wouldn't let me down :122245. A lot of good comments, and a few not so good comments about this game (the one about the announcer is totally out-of-line and should be removed). The Tomcats were long overdue for a game like this against NY, and now it has happened. Congrats to the Tomcats, and Buckeyes, regroup, learn from your mistakes, and do better next week. Looks like it is going to be a great season for Trimble. Now, just go down to Mason and put a hurtin' on the White Falcons so we don't have to hear the incessant, mindless, drivel out of certain posters that we've had to endure for the last three years.
Best of luck to both squads this week, play hard and stay injury free. And gecko, that is a good post. Should end the bickering about who started and what grade they were in.......

Maybe we played 7 or 8 freshman but we did not start that many. 2 on Offense and all our Defensive starters were upper class men.
NO MORE EXCUSES!
WE GOT OUR BUTTS HANDED TO US, END OF STORY.
TRIMBLE WAS THE BEST TEAM ON THE FIELD!
Good luck the rest of the way. I hope the Cats go 15-0!
Moving on........

Yuck it up kitties you beat a team starting 7-8 freshman. Just be thankful that in the past when Davey could have hung 50 or 60 on you he called off the dogs. I doubt he will in the future, with all the passing late in the game. Those freshmen will be Jr's and Sr's in a few short years, and the drubbings will commence.

Ok all this talk about starting 8 freshman is bs the two that did start was some of the toughest kids on the field.Stop acting like ny is the only team in this area to play freshman on friday nights just about every team around here does.WELCOME TO SMALL SCHOOL FOOTBALL trimble probably had just as many freshman and sophomores on the field as ny had

And if u wanna get on the topic of DAVEY who is DEF not the best coach around here u are OUT OF UR MIND he couldnt hold Kevin Meade or Paul Carvers CLIP BOARD!! And if Davey is sooooooo great what about those times he GOT BEAT by Trimble and woudlnt even shake Farries and the players hand two year in a row not the mention chased the refs off the field in 05 and was THREATING THEM......Best coach in AREA YEA RIGHT

The Bucks are young. They played 4 freshmen. Not 7-8...however Ny should never have to play freshmen. Shows how weak the classes ahead of them are. If Boston gets every player to play buckeye football , then they can win 7 games this year.

Who is Paul Carvers? What years did he coach at Nelsonville? Or did he coach at Buchtel?Sum_it_up89 wrote:Ground Buck....... What the HECK are u talking about?????
