Correct me if i'm wrong, but my story an opinion hasn't ever changed, so that kinda rules out schizophrenic disorder.?

noles_fan wrote:I agree with sider on a lot of what he said. Unfortunately the offense will probably be the same as it has been. We will only be as good as the guys up front are, which is more a reason we should be changing things up. If we play one dimensional it means the defense can play one dimensional as well. We cant continue to allow teams to put 8 or 9 in the box.
Do you dare question the coaching and decision making at West..?
Hell they have more supporters/fans on here than Tim Tebow!
That way of thinking is correct IMO anyhow.
Sad you won't get much love for it other than me, but you'll have that...most can't think outside the box.

That's great your a boxer....you must be a super star?
I know many boxers, but none were super stars?
For being someone from South Point, you sure like to post a lot about West Sports....kinda odd?
How about we get back to talking football...a real sport.
Not cool? Most of us think you are. Bendzone Warrior? More like a P##ss. Are you a warrior? I don't know any warriors.
For someone from West you sure like to put avatars up and pretend to be from Wheelersburg for a while, then Waverly, etc etc
You didn't get the job man, you aint good enough, you got let down. Get over it. All your whining man every year, how bad you hate West coaches
and how fine the players are. We get your point. Looking forward to all you degrading disrespectful comments all year dude. Go for it. That's
a big order to hate on people for years and years. As the teenagers say Haters Goina Hate. They got that right. Peace out Benzone. Your name
should be Miserable P#ss.

 ok buddy

Take a good look at over half the posts on this topic, many of the same things i've been saying.
Results speak for themselves and many of those posters I know personally and they eat, sleep and breath West football.
If a coach or his friends/relatives for that matter can't take some criticism then this is the wrong place to be, because it comes with the territory of the position.
With a ton of athletes coming up, fans want a change...sorry for the rant people, but some just don't get it!

Not to get into this argument, but I attached a link to a Clinton Massie highlight reel that has some good angles of their offense. They run basically the same stuff we do except theirs is out of the bone more and ours the T. Only difference is they almost always have a split end and a TE; where we are generally two tights. Seems to open up the field and may be a happy median between our current offense and passing more. Or at least make teams get a safety out of the box.

When you have 60+ kids out and your line averages 250+ the current west offense can have SOME success as they have. The 2002 team obviously had all those said intangables, plus good backs and made a historic run. Not fair to compare to a D4 State Champion though. The point trying to be made here by everyone is that West has became much to predictable. Yet West has had teams in the last 5 years who could have made the run as the 2002 team did, but has came up short for the same reasons...you can get pissy all you want, but the facts are there and anyone who knows football can see it.

Now that is what I call armchair quarterbacking at its finest.
I am reminded of Theodore Roosevelt:
"It is not the critic that counts;not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of the deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the men who are actually in the
arena, whose faces are marred by dust and sweat and blood: who strive valiantly: who err and come up short again and again; who know the great enthusiasm, the great devotions; who spend themselves in a
worthy cause; who, at best, know in the end the triumph of high achievement"

Great numbers at West! When is the scrimmage with Ironton?

I have some quotes that are relevant also....

“If you only do what you know you can do- you never do very much.” Tom Krause

“Try and fail, but don't fail to try.” Stephen Kaggwa

“Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.” Andre Gide

BTW- Arm chair QB's and Coaches are what makes this such a fun site. I have been around the West program enough to speak my mind, as have the others who have chimed in on the style of play at West.
As Nolesfan said in an earlier post, if you don't like someone's opinion then don't come here to read it, especially you so called Lawrence County people who seem to worship every thing Coach does.

What little I've got to see and what I've been told we have just shy of 60 kids. Really good turnout. Sounds like we have some skill and some speed. Not very big, but ill take guts and speed any day over size and slow.

Glad to see Jared Pendleton coaching and hope he's here for good. Newsome will be a good addition. He's an excellent line coach. Excited to hear of possible changes to the defensive scheme that will allow us to compete better with the valley and wheelersburg spread. Glad football's here and maybe we'll surprise some people.
