the DIV, region 15 is no cakewalk either ... Clinton Massie (state champ), Norwood (10-2), Batavia (11-1), Kettering Alter (8-2-1), Gallia Academy (9-3), Archbishop McNicholas (7-4), Bishop Fenwick (8-3), Minford (8-3), Circleville (6-5), Urbana (9-2) ... all 10 made the playoffs last year ... and it also includes Jonathan Alder and Dayton Dunbar.

Both regions (D3 region 12 and D4 region 15) are tough, IMO.

I hope to see Athens vs Tri Valley if Athens even makes the playoffs. Athens couldnt compete in the MVL

past teams ... you may be correct, but that statement is way off base when it comes to last years team, this years, and the 2014 Bulldogs.

hopefully Athens and Tri-Valley meet up ... I agree 100%.

The last two years Athens has went (19-1) during the regular season and (2-2) in the playoffs ... they have beaten:

Chillicothe - SEOAL
Coal Grove - OVC
Gallia Academy - SEOAL
Watkins Memorial - OCC
Warren - SEOAL
Jackson - SEOAL
Waverly - SOC
Circleville - MSL
Springfield Shawnee - Dayton

- They can beat those teams - but can't compete against MORGAN? WEST MUSKINGUM? CROOKSVILLE? NEW LEX? PHILO? They wouldn't have beat a 6-4 John Glenn team last year or a 4-6 Sheridan?

- Maysville and Tri-Valley are the only two teams I think Athens would have had tough games against ... worst case scenario they finish 3rd ... that's hardly "not able to compete against."

I would say Athens will be alright if they make it to the playoffs. Who cares if they are in the TVC or not right now Athens has good coaching and athletes in all sports. They also have great facilities. You put all that together that equals success no matter what league you are in. Just look at all of the sports at Athens and how they are doing. As a coach from a rival school I think they are going to be tough for years to come at the league level and state level. Just my 2 cents.
