Wkkj is usually quick to this....I know all of D2 and interesting stuff on 3 and 4....but don't want to break any embargos.

Notre Dame will possibly face a very talented pitcher in the finals. ND is clearly the top D4 team around.....but sometimes a very talented pitcher can make things interesting.

"possibly" is the key word

Westfall got hosed in D3 with the seventh seed. Consider they are 4-1 against D2 schools - wins over Logan Elm, Circleville, Unioto and Waverly and one loss to Unioto.

ND has a tough draw for the one seed . POTENTIAL first round match with a very good thrower from Whiteoak . Then a very very underrated crooksville who I heard was 6-2 against d-3 and d-4 teams but they schedule a bunch of d-2's .. They beat clay as a lower seed last year . So ND didn't get any favors as a one seed ..

Crazy that Alexander opens on the road.

And #1 seed Wellston didn't get any favors possibly having to face Alexander for a 3rd time after 2 1-0 games this season against them.

Ironman92.....I was thinking before today's draw that Wellston could face Alexander again.

Both 1-0 games had that one break that went Wellston's way. If I were Wellston, I would not want to face Alexander a third time.

I saw the second game in person, and will see that particular pod (Alexander/Oak Hill winner at Wellston) again.

Crooksville was good enough to beat Philo 7-2 ........................ Philo has played West Ports in a DH .. Philo 3 West 0 and West 4 Philo 3 .... So Crooksville isnt any ordinary 4 seed . JMo but the D4 bracets are really unequal in strength .

Crooksville is not a good district matchup either.

The teams up north are always tourney tough.

Today's seeding was entertaining! Someone gets direspected EVERY ear and will continue to happen until they decide to go back to when they order of seed is when you got to select WHERE you went on the backet. The reason the NCAA bracket don't work the same is that the COACHES are the ones on the selection committee. When a coach knows ahead of time, where and who he would have to play in particular situations, the honesty factor goes out the window. Let a coach pick himself over me when I beat him twice, If I can select to PLAY HIM RIGHT OFF THE BAT, I AM THERE!!! Now the seeding becomes a bit more honest... Maybe someday, but doubtful...

West was without all their starters, but Philo was pretty solid.

yeah last year as 4 seed Crooksville beat the 1 and the 3 seed in route to the District championship. Dont understand how the west bracket is loaded but the East appears weak. East 4 seed - - Ports East ... West 4 seed ---Crooksville ??????????? As a 1 seed in the West I'd trade places with the 2 seed in the East in a heartbeat. strange how things work out .
