Does anyone else think some of these numbers look really high?
Minford 282, up from 186?
Coal Grove 205, up from 136?

What are the divisional cutoffs? Peebles is at 130 boys this year(same as South Webster) so they may move to division 4.

Re: New Numbers from OHSAA
The divisional cutoffs haven't been announced, but it looks like both will be right on the D3/4 line. It was previously 122 and under.TribeManiac10 wrote:What are the divisional cutoffs? Peebles is at 130 boys this year(same as South Webster) so they may move to division 4.
Re: New Numbers from OHSAA
... wow, Southern/Southeastern Ohio gets a "boom" in their enrollment numbers while the state of Ohio is working it's darnedest to cut school/student funding to ALL of the schools in Southern/Southeastern Ohio ! ... the "not enough votes to worry about in Southern/Southeastern Ohio" syndrome" ? ...

Re: New Numbers from OHSAA
... I read on the OHSAA website that the divisional breakdowns would not be out until after their June meeting ...

Re: New Numbers from OHSAA
There are obvious mistakes that have been made on this count by OHSAA. I have already spoken to one school administrator who said the boys and girls count he is seeing, is MORE that the entire 9-12 enrollment at their high school. Remember, this count is supposed to represent grades 9-11, during the period of October 2012. Therefore, soneone goofed!!

Re: New Numbers from OHSAA
As an administrator one would home to have inflated numbers when state money is attached to individual kids. More kids more money
Re: New Numbers from OHSAA
Just looking the #s over they must be counting 9 - 12 grades. Not right at all.
Re: New Numbers from OHSAA
IF some of the numbers shown ARE grades 9-12 instead of 9-11 THIS "misinformation"(screw-up) put forth by the state shows the state education department's incompetence ... the numbers should be "perfect" as they are taken straight from EMIS - the system that the state department of education holds the schools to the fire for making sure that everything submitted to EMIS is exactly absolutely correct ... the state department of education who in their own mind does no wrong ... from unfunded mandates the state department of education puts on local school districts, to the DOE jumping through hoops for programs/tests that are created/backed by venders who are in line to make billions of dollars ... don't get me started on the state DOE, a Superintendent of Education who SHOULD BE putting all of his support toward PUBLIC schools BUT is in line/on record for his support of privately run "charter" schools ... UUGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!

Re: New Numbers from OHSAA
no way ST JOE gained 1. they cant count exchange students that even in the country yet!

Re: New Numbers from OHSAA
My guess would be the following, based on the numbers as they stand right now. This is based on putting approximately 200 schools per division.
D1 405+
D2 240-404 (Minford and Chesapeake would move up)
D3 132-239 (Ironton close to the line of being D2 with 238)
D4 <131 (Peebles and South Webster right on the line with 130 each)

Re: New Numbers from OHSAA
The numbers will change a bunch once they adjust them. They release crazy early numbers ever few years. People go crazy. Then they adjust them. Why they do it I don't know
