Re: TUESDAY NIGHT SCORES & SCHEDULE: 4/9
As previously brought up, Jackson plays at Alexander tonight. I'm looking for a big game from the Ironladies. They've played well in all previous games and I don't look for them to settle down anytime soon. My thought for tonight would be that Jenkins won't be pitching just for the simple fact that this is a non-league game. I look for Hughes and Strawser to share the time on the mound. Jackson is coming off of a good, tough battled game against Chillicothe. Most of the girls hit well throughout the game and we didn't play bad defense. I feel like we need to move our outfield around a bit. IMO we need to move Park's from center-field to possibly right-field.. Also IMO Spohn needs to be moved, she's overall an athlete and has good lateral movement and a great arm. I feel like she could help the team out tremendously by switching her position up some. IF...and only if that would happen I feel like Donaldson would be a good addition to right-field. She had a couple nice catches at Waverly and I feel like she's someone that you could depend on to come up with a big catch. We need to keep the ball rolling, We don't need to go to Alexander expecting a win, because ANYONE can beat you at ANYTIME. I mean who wouldn't want to beat a team that has only lost 1 game? As soon as the last inning has been played and the game is over we need to get focused on what's coming tomorrow.

Do to a scheduling mess up there is no Miller vs Rosecrans.
Re: TUESDAY NIGHT SCORES & SCHEDULE: 4/9
Alexander 3
Jackson 2
8 innings
It was 1-1 after 7. Jackson worked a walk and then got it to 2nd and 3rd with no outs....Sam Humphreys drills one to LCF for a sac fly. Jackson had a base running miscue before Madison Spohn's 3rd hit of the night. In the bottom of the 8th the first Alex girl walked and eventually scored to tie it with bases full and only 1 out. A wayward throw allowed the GW run home.
Alexander has a good young team....the freshman battery is impressive. Their pitcher threw gas and hit the ball as hard as I've seen all year. Good luck to them the rest of the way.
Jackson has to do the small things better and must keep their focus throughout the game. Gallia Academy tomorrow.
