These kids are celebrating over getting their drivers permits recently ... lol ... they still have a lot of physical growth in them,

All joking aside I know the Bulldogs will be vicious the next few seasons. Borrows & Co will be the class of the TVC and one of the BEST teams in SE Ohio. That being said don't sleep on the Warriors underclassmen. Yes the Athens kids are good very good but if as freshman their is an Austin Cuningham, Grant Venham and Evan French on the team do you really believe they would have had the opportunity to contribute to the exstint they did. Along with their impressive abilities, a void of talent in the upper grades factores in being thrust into action. All I'm saying is Warren has some kids like Blake Kidder, Austin Henthorn and Aaron Mazerkawitz can all play too. They didn't go 21-0 giving a 20-2 Fort Frye team their only 2 losses, for no reason.
The Athens kids are a special group no doubt. As good of ballplaywrs as they are from what I have seen and heard they are even better kids. They play hard, they play with pride and they play fair. A worthy opponent that the next couple seasons will probably break EVERY Athens HS basketball & football record in school history.
I'm just glad I got to witness 2 great proud programs and communities, that for so long have supported their kids are have their DAY IN THE SUN.

Its not whether or not Athens or Warren wins the game during the regular season - or perhaps the tournament ... it's which team Floyd decides to roll with that is most important here ... lol ... investigators are taking a hard look at Floyds 'extra curricular' activities (trips to Miami), new assets (brand new car), accessories (Ironton orange dog collars) ... if they see an increase in 'Warren Blue' products being paraded around town by Mr. Floyd, this whole 'Elite 8' business could come crashing down rather quickly ... just sayin.

I have turned NO T-shirt away- ever! 93dog put Coach Skinner on the spot on the SportsFan asking how he felt about being put in the Preseason #2 spot on the Elite 8 !!! LOL ... sounds like Coach Skinner and his Bulldogs will be doing everything they can to face top notch competition both in the summer (Athens will be playing in the C'bus league vs teams at the Hoop during June and a week in July - Watterson, Northland are playing in the same league to name a couple opponents) ... Athens is upping their season competition as well as the Bulldogs will be traveling to the land of Mickey Mouse in Orlando, FL to play 3 games over the Christmas Break ( on a side note Logan Elm will be traveling to Mickey City in Orlando over Christmas to play in the same tourney)... the coup de gras for me was the Athens boyz traveling to ASVSM for a game this year and taking on ASVSM next year in A'town! awesome stuff right there ...

Athens upping their game, Warren will be playing this summer in the Cincinnati area to play vs the speed/size of the Cincy/Dayton area teams as well as taking on DII champs Waterson in a regular season game this year, Logan Elm traveling to Orlando with their 11 returning ball players from last season ... got to like what Coaches Skinner, Maddox, Stiverson are doing to make sure that SEOhio is represented again next season at the Show in C'bus ...

It's upsetting that most if not all of the best players on all of the teams listed may only make it to D2 or D3, maybe 1 or 2 mid major teams of the thousands of kids that play in the SEO area.
