Logan hasn't won state, Belpre and Fed hock(Rome Stewart) are the only schools to win state in track.

This is about a football game not a track meet! I think the Chiefs will beat the tigers by 3-14 points

FWIW; I spoke to AD at a baseball game last week and we talked about open dates and Trimble was NOT mentioned as possible team to fill them. Buh bye.

Guys let Paladin crow about Logan not being afraid to play D7 Shadyside. At least then we don't have to read how great he thought he was in high school. Or how he is a D1 talent scout for the best programs in the country. He doesn't have much going on in life so let him sit on his porch, curse the local kids who step in his yard, and lament the passing of his supposed glory days. :122245

Hey, I'm not saying I was great. I was good, but not great. All -SEOAL, All SEO district when most of SEO was the same division as Logan ( Lancaster , then in SEO, Marietta, Jackson, Portsmouth , Ironton, Chilly, Athens ). The thread is about Logan playing state powerhouse Shadyside, something no one else in SEO wants to do. Does size matter when you are really good ? Seems most of SEO runs from schools , even if they aren't any good....

I would almost put money on the table that Paladin has more going on in life than you.

Ah, yes, bulldog. But the difference is Logan OPTED to play them, scheduling them in the REGULAR season. Otherwise Shadyside was played in the playoffs where no choice could be made. SEO, for the most part , continues to duck competition. Logan is an exception and always has been. I see no one thirsting to play Columbus DeSales. Logan has them on the schedule. No one in SEO wanted Lancaster. Logan did. State ranked Loudonville ? Home & home with Logan. Zanesville ? Chilly ? Logan played them even when NOT in the league. Simply put, Logan thrives on competition. That's why most of the state laughs at SEO. When SEO has the chance to improve their schedules and play tough teams, no matter the size, public or private, most of SEO runs for the hills with their tails between their legs.

Logan will beat Shadyside.

And you would lose. He may be your hero, but cronies don't get a vote. He is on a high school sports website boasting about how "good" he was in high school 60 years ago. He can't have much going on. He is also trying to justify a D2 school playing a D7 school, just so he doesn't have to admit his almighty Chiefs are no different than what he criticizes other schools for. BTW old smelly Paladin, NY plays Newark Catholic. NC has won multiple state championships. How many has Shadyside won? NY has also played Ironton in the past. And if you haven't noticed, NY plays Logan. So no ducking here.

Although I agree with Paladin, re: Logan's past schedule, I would add that Logan isnt stupid either and getting throttled by Lancaster year in and year out finally had to be stopped. Logan is not going to compete with Gahanna, Lancaster, Pickerington North, etc etc year in and year out. As we all know the demo for Logan, with only 42 kids on the varsity roster last year, we are in essence a D3 school size wise (based on the roster) playing in the bigger school's division. So playing big time D1 schools is a thing of the past for now. Logan needs to get into the MSL with the Teays Valleys, Farfield Unions, Logan Elms, Circlevilles, Liberty Unions; thats where Logan is at this present time. Just my opinion. We arent the Logan that went 30-0 over a stretch with several college bound players. Logan does have a few this season for sure. Little with more size (pardon the pun) would be a solid D2 player. Isaiah Smith has been hearing from MAC schools. (6-4, 4.5) but we arent going to go to central ohio and beat schools like we used to. Its a different group of kids. Which is why the schedule i think is getting an overhaul. But we are also having trouble finding people to play so who knows who may end up on the schedule, but honestly it wont have anything to do with our ego or a bigger school picking on a smaller school or whos dominant or any of the fluff people try to add to it. It will be whoever they can find that makes the most sense. Again, just my opinion.

Well put. This is similar to what many schools in the area are doing, and have done. Some folks like to get on here and make fun of the area, and Paladin is one of them. Then when the shoe is on his foot he tries to wiggle out with excuses and more insults. Most folks on here simply ignore his foolishness, but it is comical to point out his inconsistencies.

Again, you made some good points and this rings true throughout the area.

To all you so called experts! If you have a young person out for football and your school can only schedule 8 games what ashamed! All that hard work must be rewarded with a 10 game schedule for the young men on the team. Yes GROUND CHUCK! The Chiefs have played Ironton and have had some wins! What is to NY record against Ironton? Take it easy had to throw that shot into the mix!!!!!!!
