Beallsville's situation would not allow them to be an option. Invitations were sent to Barnesville, Morgan, Belpre, St. John, Shadyside, and a handful of others. The current league is in tact for this year and next, after which Trail will leave for the IVC. Football season will be starting soon and should be fun.

Caldwell Football Schedule 2015:
Scrimmage @ Williamstown w/Belpre
Jamboree Game Home v. Utica
@ Liberty Union
@ Buckeye Trail
@ Shadyside
Monroe Central
Waverly
Rosecrans
Frontier
@Fort Frye
@ West Muskingum
Shenandoah

Caldwell and Central will most likely battle for the PVC crown, and playoff berths. Not sure anyone else in the conference makes it past week 10.

Derek Layton has decided to play football again. 6-2 230 Sr had 10 tds 600 yards as a soph. I think he will be great addition on both sides of the ball..

It's Monroe Centrals year to be back on top, where they always are.

Im not ready to predict a state run or anything for Caldwell yet, just hoping for another solid run. Schedule should be a bit tougher this year. As for the top teams in the region, you could make a pretty good argument for Trimble, Caldwell, Danville, Shadyside. And if Newark Catholic can get in with the type of teams they play, you never count them out.

Anyone with lick of sense who's followed the PVC for the past, um, 50 years (??) will no doubt intelligently say it's Monroe Central or Caldwell's to win. The Redskin/Seminole game will decide. All the rest - Frontier, Fort Frye, Shenandoah - could win some non-league games, but make no mistake, the PVC gold will rest in either Central or Caldwell's trophy case.
I think Caldwell has a better chance of reaching the playoffs than the others, but I hate to count out MC.

MC will have a tough game with River. River left the PVC, but MC and River is a HUGE rivalry. Never know how it will go. Great game last year, MC won. Should be another great game this year too.

Common sense tells me that Caldwell will win this conference and probably the region. Monroe Central will finish 2nd as Jay will not be able to overcome the athletes that Caldwell has. Fort Frye will do more with less than anyone and finish 3rd. Buckeye Trail should finish 4th as they are athletic. Frontier will be next and I think the separation between them and trail is a lot. Shenandoah will finish at the bottom, but don't get used to them there with the freshman class they have.

Fort Frye does have a freshman QB but other then that they are way better this season after a (7-3) finish last yr..Return all skills guys and get Layton back.. I think they could finish anywhere from
8-2 to 6-4 and the Jr class is loaded..

If Cadets can find consistency at QB I think they can give Monroe a game.. They are pretty deep and have a ton of veterans. They could be a sleeper team.

Don't see them giving us a game. MC has way to many skill players for FF to hang with us. I think are only test in the league might be Caldwell, but if we play MC football then we will beat them by at least 2 TD's.

Fort Frye is just going to be better then most think they return a ton of letterman but you can't run the ball every play. So big weight on whoever is the QB at FF.

If you talk them up, they're not a sleeper.
