Will Jackson go undefeated in 2015?

Post by Texas 2 »

Jackson has a tough schedule in 2015. They have six home games this year, they are Wellston, Chillicothe, Wheelersburg, Grandville, Talawanda and Gallipolis. Away Games are West Jefferson, Warren, Logan and Meigs.

If they do, I will sponsor a championship trophy even though arent really champions of anything. Maybe they should just stay in the SEOAL as its lone member until they can entice other schools to join.

Has anyone even thought of that?

Look for the Ironmen to thank the TVC teams for there votes on joining the league no reason to hold the horse back maybe 100 on the board to start the next 4 years play.

Not impossible to go undefeated, but definitely with the schedule not probable.

Quality or difficulty of the schedule will very possibly lead to some banged up kids as the season progresses.

Week 2 Chillicothe will be very tough, their junior and senior classes have been competitive with us all through the youth and Middle School years, be a very physical game. Chillicothe barely missed the playoffs last year finishing in the 10 spot as I recall.

Week 3 West Jefferson will be looking for revenge at their place and they were a regional finalist.

Week 4 Granville returns a lot and was a playoff team last year losing to Athens in Week 11.

Week 5 Wheelersburg will be looking for revenge and they were also a regional finalist.

Week 6 Warren gave us a good game last year and they seem to be getting back on track, they are full of athletes at that school, if they can get them out for football they will be very good.

Week 7 at Logan will be a knock down drag out, nothing else to say.

Week 8-9-10 Meigs, Talawanda (a playoff team last year in D3) and rival Gallipolis will be equally good games.

Bottom line, with the physical style of offense and defense we play I don't see us making it through the season without a few key injuries. Very deep talent wise so may turn out just fine, but tough to play 10 games against those type of teams and win them all.

All I can say is the best way to show these TVC teams what they are missing is to score as much as we can and allow no mercy scores late in the game.

Jackson 84
Wellston 0

Jackson 70
Meigs 0

Looks good to me. Lets show them they made the right choice.

Yea, that's about right. Beat'em up while they're down.

andy has done a great job there with the ironmen. that was a great game with ironton last year. ironton did the independent thing for many, many years and thrived. but as they continued to shrink, but still beat vastly bigger teams, the games were getting too hard to schedule.
they were having opening.

If Jackson wins out they should get a 28-32 pt average. Wheelersburg, Granville, and Talawanda are the big games. 4 points a piece. Chillicothe and Logan are around 3-3.5 pts. But that's if those teams win the same amount of games

Jackson will not hang 84 on wellston. These games are usually close and very physical the first half. Usually sometime in the 3rd quarter Wellston will begin to wear down. Also coach Hall would never ever hang 80+ points a team. That is so classless .

How region 9 is, go 10-0 and get a home game, go 9-1 and you are the road

I think it's very possible to go 10-0 but it will be very hard to do we are returning a lot of good players and adding a lot of great younger players!!

Honestly I would take a 8-2 or 9-1 season in lieu of 10-0 IF we could swap that for a playoff berth and a win in week 11 & 12 and play for a regional final in week 13.

It is high time to win a game in Week 12...so I would exchange a perfect season for a victory in Week 12.

That is just me though lol.

Me too doubleplay643. Everything else aside, it means three more weeks of football.

Region 9, TV could move to D2, Marion Franklin and Beechcroft could move to D3. Athens and Desales could drop to D4. Athens was 278 this year for the bottom three grades. Hopefully it doesn't take 26 points to get a home game this year
