South Central Ohio Top 50 Blog

Post by shermantank »

A new player evaluation Blog is in the works. Our Blog will be focusing on the TOP 50 players in South Central Ohio. South Central Ohio Top 50 geographical area of operation will be those players from Chilicothe to Portsmouth and from Brown County to Lawerence County. We feel there is a lot of talent in this area that unlike the big cities with Dabbelt report and OGBR it will give the kids in this area a much needed social media outlet.

We will be posting our top players from each Graduation class. We are focusing on those players who possess ALL the TOOLS and can play at the next level.

Stay tune for our First Blog posting..

Here is the start of The South Central Ohio Top 50. Order doesn't dictate rank. We have seen all these ladies play and apologize for not getting some names. If you have a name of a player we need to check out please feel free to post it. We are wanting to personally see each girl either during the summer or during their school season. We will be evaluating on skill level, looking for players that posses all skills - Can they go to their off hand more than 2 dribbles, court vision, getting to the right spots, do they box out, defensive technique, basketball IQ, and yes can they shoot/score. and etc. As stated it is a big area, but if you have a player you want to suggest please do so, with their school name and if applicable their AAU/Summer Basketball Team name. Thanks in advance and hope you enjoy what we are trying to do for the young ladies that are playing in our Area of Operation.

Sorry for the delays, Blog page issues and trying to see as many kids as we can, lol. High school stuff is over an now the most important time for those high school ballers wanting to play next level. July is the month if your player wants to move on, then they have to be playing in tourneys this month, from the Run for the Roses, Battle of the Boro, USJN in Cincy, USJN Nationals in Washington, DC, Brandon Clay's events, it is all about exposures....

2016 players personally seen this summer. Order doesn't denote ranking, also PM if you have seen players that need info or someone we miss. keep it short thanks.

Sams 2016, Huntington Ross, seen her play several times and heard she attended several elite basketball camps and getting the serious looks. Can shoot the ball! a High IQ, gets it done on both ends.

Hall 2016, Southwebster, another high motor player with a high skill set, D1 player. Look for her to really go ou with a bang her senior year. Also made All Star Team at Purdue's Team Camp

Robinson 2016, Westfall, solid player, can score. defends only seen her limited times, but liked what I seen. Will play somewhere if she wants to

Barrier 2016, Ironton, decommited from Virginia Tech and has other offers. Played very well on Exposure circuit. Just an impressive player.

Roney 2016, Eastern Pike, Injury has kept her sidelined. Still at her size and athletic ability a very good player and will play next level.

Holden 2016, Wheelersburg, Played in Deep South Classic and did well, another 5 position player who has a high motor.

Puckett 2016, Vinton County a strong player that can score inside and outside.

little 2016, Lynchburg Clay. has size and is quick. rebounds and runs the floor well. solid defender. NAIA /D3 player.

2017 Players I have seen

Richardson 2017, Alexander. Can play and a key part of a team that will make noise. Can score, handle and defend. One of those players with college looks and will be playing next level.

Wheeler 2017, Southeastern Ross. Another tough guard who can score, handle and defend. Key to Southeastern's success, like her game.

Binkley Twins 2017, Lynchburg Clay. A very tough combo, quick and score and defend the perimeter. Also liked the fact they can rebound and not afraid to attack the basket in traffic and draw contact. Just two pieces on team that is primed and ready for a run this year.

Brown 2017, Chilicothe. Didn't get to see her play and waiting on other scout to send me info. so stay tuned

2018 Players we have seen, we are updating on others as we get info from others. Also we aren't ranking so players position on list doesn't mean their rank..lol

Johnson 2018, South Webster, going into her Sophomore year, Johnson will be just getting better with experience. High motor, aggressive and tough. Has size and strength and nice ability around the rim.

Day 2018, Eastern Brown, definitely has the size an 6'1". Good shooter, needs to get more aggressive on the offense end and can shoot well enough to do so. Also has a good court vision.

Skeens 2018, Southeastern Ross. Shooter and finisher. Nice size and garnering attention from colleges from D1 down. Has superb vertical and quickenss and great athlete. As she develops so her stock rises. Her playing at a high level this summer will play off tremendously this year, and she was Co Player of the Year last season. Key to Southeasterns run this year in tourney.

Daniels 2018, Minford. A do it all player. Shoots, defends and makes others around her better. Key to Minfords success and will play at next level. Either Soccer or basketball so a double threat.

Chapman 2018, Fairland. Solid point guard that can defend. Good ball handler and can get to the basket. Needs to develop more offensive aggressiveness.

Shope 2018 Fairfield, nice player, can stroke the ball, very strong defender gets after it, if she keeps working during offseason on skill set, will only continue to grow. Like her game.
If you have a player in the areas listed above please PM short description. Thanks.

The following girls from the original list will be updated later as I gather info on their summer progress and any other udates for new players will be added
Hamilton New Boston, Woods Paint Valley, Green Jackson, Smith Waverly, Smith Chilicothe, Buckley New Boston

2019 Players we have seen and gathered info on

P. Scott 2019, Lynchburg Clay, High motor! Defensively a stopper, who can score. High IQ. Made All Star team at the OGBR Skills Camp last week. When we seen her she was just all out and seemed to be everywhere. Very quick also.

Pennington 2019, West Union. at 6 1/2 has the size and a very strong skill set that allows her to play all 5 positions, defends on the perimeter as well as post. Has range, We seen her at Wilimington Team Camp stroke if from deep behind the 3 pt line Rebounds and has good court vision.

Richardson 2019, Alexander. A solid guard. attacks the basket and can handle the ball. can score. will add plenty to Alexander.

Cook Southwebster Injury has kept her out this summer. Wishing speedy recovery.

gathering info on the following players from the original list
Kallner Wheelersburg, McDonald and Collins Huntingtin Ross.

if you have seen these girls or others in any age group please feel free to PM here with their description. We are looking for kids that can handle the ball, defend, shoot and play a solid game.
