Meigs scored 2 in top of 12th and then Sheridan scored 1 in bottom 12th.mhs95_06 wrote:In what extra inning did both teams score?

Congrats to Meigs.
You have to wonder if going 12 innings in a game like this takes a toll on the pitching available for the next matchup.

Meigs really doesn't have an Ace, Christian Mattox who pitched and shut Jackson down and then pitched the last 4 last night only seen about 12-14 Innings all year during the season (Secret Weapon) Meigs still has Senior Cameron Mattox left, and also Luke Musser and Cody Bartrum....So we still have pitching.Badboy wrote:Congrats to Meigs.

Good to hear. In high school, those types of tournament games can deplete pitching quickly. Sounded like a dandy ball game last night.Coach_K wrote:Meigs really doesn't have an Ace, Christian Mattox who pitched and shut Jackson down and then pitched the last 4 last night only seen about 12-14 Innings all year during the season (Secret Weapon) Meigs still has Senior Cameron Mattox left, and also Luke Musser and Cody Bartrum....So we still have pitching.Badboy wrote:Congrats to Meigs.

Should be another good one tomorrow night in Athens.
I'll go out on a limb and pick Minford for the win, although I am a little biased

I have seen Meigs play a handful of times now. All of those games had huge implications (league standings, tournament). Whitlatch (#23) started in every one of them and either went deep into the games or completed them. I think it's pretty safe to say that Meigs has an ace, and his name is Whitlatch.

You're wrong. Since his kids are both pitchers, it would be beneath him to insult one of them by not letting them be the ace. So, despite events seen by everyone else, Meigs doesn't have an ace.Tyler_Durden wrote:Coach_K wrote:Meigs really doesn't have an Ace, Christian Mattox who pitched and shut Jackson down and then pitched the last 4 last night only seen about 12-14 Innings all year during the season (Secret Weapon) Meigs still has Senior Cameron Mattox left, and also Luke Musser and Cody Bartrum....So we still have pitching.Badboy wrote:Congrats to Meigs.

Whitlatch is most definitely the ace of the Meigs pitching staff.

I'm not gonna get in that argument because of a few nobodies on a forum. Don't care who pitches as long as MEIGS gets the WIN...Have a wonderful day180 Out wrote:Whitlatch is most definitely the ace of the Meigs pitching staff.

And from what I hear that pitching staff just gets deeper next year.Coach_K wrote:Meigs really doesn't have an Ace, Christian Mattox who pitched and shut Jackson down and then pitched the last 4 last night only seen about 12-14 Innings all year during the season (Secret Weapon) Meigs still has Senior Cameron Mattox left, and also Luke Musser and Cody Bartrum....So we still have pitching.Badboy wrote:Congrats to Meigs.
