It's Official: Ohio State vs. LSU for National Championship
2trap, according to the sagarin ratings Ohio States schedule was ranked 60th and Hawaii's was 137th. Although they are both weak there is a huge difference between the two.
froggy48, Hawaii barely beat Washington who Ohio State destroyed and as stated above they had the 137th ranked strength of schedule. Also Kansas did lose 1 game to a ranked team but so did Ohio State. Also Kansas didn't even win their conference and Ohio State did.
The voters have voted and a huge majority says LSU vs. Ohio State like it or not!

Illinois was not ranked when OSU played them.
I am fine with LSU going to the NCG. I was hoping it would be them. Just saying if we are going to use 2 losses for an argument then the teams with with the best records should go.

18 division 1-AA schools have played tougher schedules than Hawaii,
according to the Sagarin Ratings.
If you go by the NCAA ratings, Hawaii has the 117th ranked schedule,
OSU is #48.
Hawaii's opponets have a .371 winning percentage.
They DO NOT deserve the title bid,
They do deserve the Sugar Bowl for their efforts.

Hawaii does not deserve to play in a ntl title game.
About the buckeyes, I remember back in January, I started a topic the day after the loss to Florida that OSU would be back in a big way, and that they probably atleast would get a Rose Bowl bid. I did mention that a ntl title game was not out of the question.
There was a lot of people that said they wouldn't do that. That somehow they would only win 5, 6 or 7 games.
They Were Wrong

Miami was supposed to be the better team in 02
FSU was supposed to be the better team in 98
USC was supposed to be the better team in 05
The Buckeyes were supposed to be the better team in 06
There have been a ton of "better" teams lose this season.
I personally think it's a good matchup on both sides of the ball,
and should be a great game.

GO BUCKS!!!
It might be a good game but I honestly doubt it! I am pulling for LSU and also believe LSU will come through with the victory by around 14 points or so. Might even be a touchdown game if Tressel doesn't have a terrible game plan a again unless he just wants to have an excuse after the game that is!
As to your comment about Ohio State being #1 or #2 next season, I would have to put Florida and USC both ahead of Ohio State and why not even the likes of Illinois? Illinois might even be ranked ahead of Ohio State preseason next year!

LSU by 14 wow ill take some of that action
i took OSU by 21 over michigan
on the #1 and #2 next season
OHio State wont be there
top ten but not 1 or 2
YOu need to look at Oklahoma and even LSU they wont lose alot and Illi could maybe win the Big ten next year but Osu will be above Floridia and USC
OSU 's one loss season and a trip to the big ONE vs Floridia's what 3 loss season and not a confrence champ but a nice bowl game
ill take OSU
and dont forget NEVER DOUBT A 41 POINT UNDERDOG!
