I just wish they take that bet somewhere else besides this form.
Re: WHEELERSBURG @IRONTON.WEEK 1 -YOUR THOUGHTS.
Also keep in mind, Elliott is a couple inches taller as well. 6'/220 lb. looks different than 5"10"/220 lb.pembrook burrows III wrote:I'm with OSU 77 on this. Palladino ought to be playing at no more than 190-195 pounds. You almost have to be a physical freak like Ezekial Elliott to try to run halfback at 225, and Palladino ain't that

I agree with Pembrook, 190 to 195 would be a top weight for him in my opinion. I hope he at least makes it down to around 2004th n Goal wrote:Also keep in mind, Elliott is a couple inches taller as well. 6'/220 lb. looks different than 5"10"/220 lb.pembrook burrows III wrote:I'm with OSU 77 on this. Re: WHEELERSBURG @IRONTON.WEEK 1 -YOUR THOUGHTS.
does anybody have any projected starting lineups for the 2 teams. like name, weight , grade, height type of thing for either team.
I know it's projected . also how many seniors each squad may have.

Re: WHEELERSBURG @IRONTON.WEEK 1 -YOUR THOUGHTS.
watched a little bit of practice/conditioning and I thought ironton would come close to having a chance to beat the Pirates this year but now i know Da Burg wont have too many problems in winning again this year as well as the last few years.

Re: WHEELERSBURG @IRONTON.WEEK 1 -YOUR THOUGHTS.
I had no idea dez was that tall. he'll be a beast as well.
Re: WHEELERSBURG @IRONTON.WEEK 1 -YOUR THOUGHTS.
He will be hard to handle. He has taken over as the captain on defense and has shown that he is the leader on the defensive side of the ball. We should have one of our best teams in years on defense. Our size is unreal and the kids playing are very good. Positions are backed up well too.
Re: WHEELERSBURG @IRONTON.WEEK 1 -YOUR THOUGHTS.
Where did the depth come from? I have seen the junior and soph classes all the way up and to say they weren't very good is being generous.

Yea I agree fbnut I remember looking at last years roster and thinking that are depth this year will be very very weak. Kinda surprising to hear that take about the depth.
IBTT what does the 0-line look like across the board? We all know thats where it counts. What about any new contributors that have come aboard this year or breakout players?

Re: WHEELERSBURG @IRONTON.WEEK 1 -YOUR THOUGHTS.
Ironton's Junior class is probably the most talented and largest class that has gone through the system in a long time. Problem has been since 6th grade when they were last all playing, injuries and the lazy bug have got ahold of many of the kids in this class. There is still a lot of talent and size in that class. Just have to wait and see if some of these kids decide to come out and play. This group still have extremely talented kids who give every excuse in the book why they aren't going out for football over the past few years. From what I hear many of those kids did show up today. Most are either playing only one sport, whether it be baseball or basketball and somehow believe they are going to get a full ride scholarship in that sport. It is definitely a new generation, but hopefully they will realize before it's too late they are missing out on a great opportunity to be a part of this football program. So many would actually stand a good chance at good scholarship money in football and have little chance if any in the single sport they are playing.
Re: WHEELERSBURG @IRONTON.WEEK 1 -YOUR THOUGHTS.
Glad to here Ironton's freshman class will have a freshman team this year. First time in a while that I believe Ironton has been able to field a freshman squad. Right at 20 kids in that class are out this year considering as 8th graders there were only 8 or 9 (8th) graders. Was told a couple of new kids decided to come out just tonight that have never played before that are very talented kids.

Re: WHEELERSBURG @IRONTON.WEEK 1 -YOUR THOUGHTS.
I'm excited about that as well ibtt, you can't have a quality varsity team, without the proper feeder system.
Re: WHEELERSBURG @IRONTON.WEEK 1 -YOUR THOUGHTS.
So to be honest. I was really skeptical about burg offense this season, however after watching them in the 7on7 at Russell today I am no longer concerned! The pirates are loaded with talent and Davis is a good qb!!
