Fairland's Head coach

Post by cg58 »

I heard Cunningham resigned as coach, and possibility hiring Jay Lucas as coach. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

I haven't heard this at all....didn't they just hire Cunningham this year? Why would he resign already?

As far as Jay Lucas is concerned, I heard he was with his son in Portsmouth for open gym yesterday. Isn't he a sophomore next year? I know I was looking forward to him leading the Hornets to victory on Friday nights with Dave at the helm.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but when was the last time Dave Lucas had a losing season? And they fired him...

I'm 99.99% sure this is nothing but Lawrence County waterhole heresy considering the BOE just approved Coach Cunningham's staff.

1998 was the last "losing season" (3-7 I believe, bad season, I recall), and 2013 was a 5-5 season.i believe Kidd will pick up right where Lucas left off.

That was the Nick Miller (1999-2001) and Steve Cook (2002-2003) era.
