Reality hurts ! 8)
Losing move in O.U. coaches' sons will do that. Being left with native "talent" will make you pucker right up !!
Ah yes ................. life in the "minor" leagues.

Re: Final year of the SEOAL; 3 sport affiliate membership in
Seeing how successful Point Pleasant has been in football the last few years, they'd be a nice pickup to replace Gallia Academy if the SEOAL was looking for a good 6th team after Marrietta and Athens being similar in size with the rest of the SEOAL and a former member of the league. Also if I remember correct, I believe SR 2 in WV is being considered for being widen to a 4 lane highway from I-77 thru Point Pleasant to Huntington so roads would be better getting there, but do they want to rejoin is the question. The Parkersburg schools are close by but considering they're around twice the size or larger of Warren, I'm sure that'd play a factor. Their football has been average over the years so that would be make things interesting how they'd be considered. I honestly think of them as a potential 7th and 8th teams assuming Marrietta, Athens, and Point Pleasant were to all rejoin the SEOAL or to maybe any of fill those spots should Athens and/or Point Pleasant not rejoin to expand back to 6 teams. I've been liking Ripley a lot being similar in size with Point Pleasant and being right off US-33 and I-77, but seeing how they've only had 1 winning season in the last decade of football, I don't know if they'd be considered too well.

"Word on the street is that Athens may now be interested. Apparently they don't want to suffer the impending beatings they are going to get from the TVC Ohio teams in the next few years as pay back" Oh, if that were only so, it would be sweet!

Nice to see you still have a positive opinion about SE football. I would like to see what you think about Logan dropping teams like Lancaster from their schedule to play all those 'minor league' teams?Paladin wrote:![]()

That's a nice second place trophy!
If you wanna see what a state Championship trophy looks like, you are welcome to stop by Nelsonville-York high school and see it.......

It is hard to make it out of a region alone, and is super hard to get a runner up State trophy. I will have to say I am proud of Athens and Trimble for that accomplishment. Enjoy it.

Isn't it a crime that the Chiefs run from D1 teams 15 miles away and pick up D7 teams 2 hours away?
