High School

It's been very dead on high school talk. Did everyone go into hibernation ?

Not a lot of high school action and it's just turned into a travel ball forum.

Alot of good players from that area.. Good to see Shawnee St. working within its inner area giving good kids a next level chance. I have seen Dempsey, Riffe, and Williams play. Good players ! The other 3 I have not seen. Did all 6 play travel-ball ?

I know 4 of the 6 did for sure , not positive about Riffe and Riley . I'd be surprised if they didn't , both are really nice players .

2 Pike county 2015 grads are playing college ball this year, too, on the schools' dime--
Michella Davis D2 in Florida
Mikayla Wyke D2 in Kentucky

Burg is loaded but you get down to the final 8 or so in a 1 and out scenario anything can happen. It takes some luck to win it all . Hopefully they parlay last years final 4 into a title . Would be great for SEO that gets zero respect from most of Ohio.

I got to see Wheelersburg 3 times last year and they are loaded and well coached. I agree with ManitouDan, you have to have alot of luck once you get in the finals.
They might be by far the best team in the SEO area. Just play one game at a time and try not to look too far ahead.

They are returning nearly everyone, and picked up a transfer from Ironton. Things do need to fall in place, but they are in a great position to make a run.

Apologies for having to step away for a while and letting it get out of control on the summer ball threads. I'm working on taking care of that now.
