Ashland's OLine dominated Russell's DLine the entire game. In the mid 3rd Quarter Ashland had Russell with a running clock leading 49-8. Reserves for Russell scored the final 15 points.
Ashland's Quentin Baker had 4TDs... Russell couldnt stop him.
I gotta favor Ashland by 14 in this game.

Ironton continues to improve on tonight's performance. It'll be a tough one for IHS, but they definitely showed they are not giving up. They improved everywhere, got good performances from the players they asked to step up & cover the first aid patients. You can never give up hope. Will be happy for no injuries. !!!

I will be the first to say Tigers win this one in an upset. I didn't expext Russell to play with Ashland. If Ironton wasn't completely depleted at the end of the first quarter Ironton wouldn't have had much trouble with them either. 3rd string center snaps a ball into the end zone for a TD. Onside kick recovered. 5 turnovers. Etc etc. Ironton now has some backups seasoned. They should have most of their kids back. If Ironton plays like they can, they have the talent to make it happen. Ironton defense gets most of their guys back this week. I say Ironton 28-21.

I saw on a story on Google where Quentin Baker ran a 4.29 40... With all the SEC, B1G and even some PAC12 schools that was goin after him... TOTALLY Understandable.

4.92 is slow for a runningback, there's defensive ends that can run that.
Re: Week 4 (0-3) Ironton vs (3-0) Ashland KY
He ran a 10.7 100 meters to win state track championships. He runs around 4.5 40. His size hurt in bigger recruitment. UK already had a stable of backs and probably would've had to wait his turn. I think Marshall is a good fit for him. More deceptive speed and cutting ability than raw speed. excellent hs back
