Week 4: Eastern (2-1) at Notre Dame (2-1)
Week 4: Eastern (2-1) at Notre Dame (2-1)
Eastern is coming in after a win over (1-2) Southeastern and posts a 2-1 record. Notre Dame defeated (0-3) Grove City Christian and also has a 2-1 record.
Having watched Notre Dame, their bread and butter is their run game (Kayser, Collins, and Johnson). ND's offensive line isn't huge but has open up holes for the backs the past 3 games. Sophomore Cassidy has been successful with both parts of his game (QB and Kicker). Look for ND to try to establish the run early and possibly mix in some passing as Eastern tries to crowd the box.
Eastern's first year in SOC will be a test in my opinion. A great 2-1 start in their 1st season, but have their games prepped them enough? Starting a week early in conference games shouldn't give teams any trouble and I feel like it's anyone's league to win.
If ND's defense shows up and limit big plays I'm gonna go with the Titans.

Perfect weather today! Unfortunately it looks like it will rain tonight. Teams will have to limit the turnovers with a slippery ball.

Final - 36-24 Notre Dame. Titans running game was too much tonight. Got up 36-6 and seemed to let up, allowing Eastern to bring it back to a game late.

Eastern turned ball over way too many times in this game. Notre Dame is a solid team with speed,Kayser was the best player on field last night and once Eastern got down 2 touchdowns, they had to go away from feeding Freemont the ball. Hopefully Eagles can bounce back at home next week vs Northwest. I expect both to have good seasons.
