There is no excuse for them to lose 2 games in that conference if they're really the best team in the country. The PAC 10 completely fell apart at the end of the year... although it took them a little longer than it usually does... but USC managed to lose to far inferior conference opponents last year, too (Oregon State, UCLA). A loss to Stanford is worse than both those losses put together, IMO. But even last year, people said they deserved to be in the National Championship. With that being said lets just get this fact out in the open:
THE FACT THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MORE TALENT THAN EVERYONE ELSE DOES NOT NECESSARILY MAKE YOU THE BEST TEAM IN FOOTBALL.

USC has no right to bitch about not being national champs after losing to STANFORD....AT HOME! That loss way way worse than anything OSU, LSU or Georgia had. I don't care what players were injured, they should have been able to beat Stanford with their second stringers. Keep crying USC....nobody but Homostreit is buying it.*

Let people scream and complain all they want about the system that's in place. It's what we have. If the AP wants to name USC as National Champion, let them. Until the NCAA and college presidents get their collective heads out of their collective butts, a true National Champion will never be had. If a playoff is out of the question, get rid of the BCS and the so-called national Championship Game and go back to the old bowl system. That was better than what we have now.
