No it will be given Portsmouth is worse than the Tigers and should have won.
Ironton gave 2 wins away in Wheelersburg and Russell.
Not saying either team is bad they are both good solid teams.
Ashland and Beachwood Ironton was in the game at half time.
Ironton could be 2-2 or even 3-1 at this point.
So if the win tonight should the coaching staff get credit or should Ironton players get the credit for refusing to lose.......

Love Young is having a great game rushing tonight but I fear he is the best Defensive player Ironton has don't want to see him wear down when it counts

more stupid penalties for the Tigers, unsportsmanlike conduct. The coaches needed to nip this poop in the bud years ago.

Ironton having issues with catching punts again this game, why is that so hard for this team?

Ironton doesn't put anyone back to catch punts, letting them roll down and giving them bad field position. Do we not have a single person that can catch a football?

Ironton offense playing a lot better this game, but still some fumbles and stupid penalties for the Tigers.

Well the refs were busy tonight for sure. P-town got some pretty bad calls against them in this one. Two of those calls were game changer. Ironton fumbles P-town recovers but after a long talk among the refs it's Ironton's ball and they score. P-towns QB gets tackle for a safety but they say he fumble before he was down (wrong) Ironton recovers and gets TD. those are game changing calls. There were way to many flags in this game on both sides. Did the best team win? I am not for sure. Ironton didn't look like they have improved any all.

hmmm bad officiating in a Portsmouth-Ironton matchup in Ironton? Thats something completely differnet...I degress, I thought the Trojans would keep it closer, congrats to my friends in I-Town,looking fprward to some great matchups in the future.

TRH wrote:I'm wondering what Tiger team will show up tonight. Will it be a team that was embarrassed last week and determined to prove they are better than that and begin a win streak to salvage their season? Or will they just show up an go through the motions. Football is every bit as much mental as it is size and skill. If your head and heart isn't in the game, your size or skill doesn't mean a darn thing.

WELL SAID!

I hope this game gave this team the confidence they needed!
