You have got to be kidding. You ran your mouth all summer about how great this Ironton team was going to be.

IF tigers finish 6-4 and burg finishes 9-1 I just don't see that much of a difference in the 2

This IHS poster may be in LaLa land, but to bring up the death of a superstar. You just cursed your whole entire mojo.
Pathetic.
She was off of crack & her heart gave out on champagne & Xanax.
You can come up with something more respectful to someone that's a mega star. Just say Ironton sucks & whs will win by 59. That would be more acceptable. Classless.

Enjoy the run while you can. The final laugh this year will be all ours. Looks like we are getting things together. We still have a couple of our top players out for a few weeks, but I believe we will be alright to make it in. As long as we play it one game at a time and win each one of these games to finish off this season 6-4, I would take Ironton any day vs the Burg team I saw play vs Ironton this year. Burg is in, now it is up to us to make it in. Anything can happen, it's high school football, young kids are playing the game. Hopefully we get the chance once again to play that game.

knightruner wrote:Well the refs were busy tonight for sure. P-town got some pretty bad calls against them in this one. Two of those calls were game changer. Ironton fumbles P-town recovers but after a long talk among the refs it's Ironton's ball and they score. P-towns QB gets tackle for a safety but they say he fumble before he was down (wrong) Ironton recovers and gets TD. those are game changing calls. There were way to many flags in this game on both sides. Did the best team win? I am not for sure. Ironton didn't look like they have improved any all.
really???? trojans got hit in the mouth.......

Portsmouth gained 240 yards against Ironton. They had 197 against Valley and Wheelersburg. Combined.

This win by Ironton tells me nothing about them being "back"

Ironton out gained wheelersburg too!! Does that say Ironton won the game? No. The Tigers shot themselves in the leg all night when they got inside scoring range. Burg took advantage and they deserved the win.

I hope Ironton can find someone to catch a punt How stupid is it not putting anyone back to catch a punt. I heard the logic it sounds like grade school football!

Portsmouth was held to 50 yards rushing and outside of the 2 long pass plays in the first half which totaled 126 yards they only gained 63 yards passing after that. SO take away the big plays you only gave up 113 yards. Yea after getting smashed by Ashland the week before thats a pretty good defensive effort by the Tigers.

Ok I can fix this thread easy.

Ironton 1-4
Burg 5-0

Advantage burg

Ironton 6
Burg 14

Advantage Burg

Ironton 42- PHS 20. +22
Burg 42- PHS 0. +42

Advantage Burg

Numbers don't lie.
Burg>Ironton.
