Week 5 - Bishop Ready @ Minford

Post by NewEra »

Going to be a real test for the Falcons coming off the re-charge vs. Northwest where hopefully Minford figured it out offensively. We will see if Minford can be considered a legitimate threat and make the SOC II a 3 horse race. Thoughts?

I'm sure Ready will have size up front and quickness in their backfields.

Depends on Minfords toughness and how bad they want it. If they can cause a couple turnovers and keep pounding the ball to sustain long drives, it will wear on Ready.

Definitely a winnable game for Minford, but they will have to start fast and not have any hiccups.

There's only one, truly scientific way to determine who wins this match-up.

If Minford scores more points than the # of times throughout the week their fans mistakenly pronounce "Bishop Ready", then they have a fighting chance.

Would someone please confirm to me that this is one of the weirdest written articles they have ever read?

No stats? No scoring summary? The phrase "a Spartan phalanx" was used. Every Northwest completion in the game was described in this article.

Am I crazy or is this just awful?

It was horrible. Then again, I don't expect much better from the PDT.

The reporter is a "stringer" for the PDT, which means they are not on staff. Better than no coverage at all.

The game did sound like an epic battle, though. :-)

I get that he is a stringer and bad coverage is better than no coverage, but that was more like a movie review than a high school sports article.

As entertaining as the Peloponnesian War, apparently.
