All I know is an alleged incident during the game on Friday. Don't know all the details, but it must have been bad enough for this to happen.

Boston and coach Andrews got into a fight at halftime and the kids had to break it up.
Coach Andrews was let go and Coach Boston stepped down but will still be the AD.
It all started the week before and came to a boil Friday night.

Time to rally around the kids.
Thier are 3 sides to every story, but we can't forget the kids who are on this team.

Here is to hoping that somewhere in all this there is a silver lining for the kids in the NY program...and they grind through the next week or so and get back on track.

He is the OC. His son Nathan was our QB for a few years.noreply66 wrote:Who is Coach Dean?

Coach Dean has also ran the youth program for years and years.
He is a solid guy and a good coach.

Hate the circumstances of this but I'm sure coach dean will do good things if they keep him around may be showing my age but I played against his son in school. Was very disciplined and a good kid and I'm sure that translated from his dad. Best of thing to do is move on and refocus! Best of luck to him and the team!

Re: Dave Boston Jr. resigns as Head Football Coach at NY
I remember when Fisher fired their coach with a few games left in the season in 2010. It is very hard for the kids to make sense of it, doesn't matter what program it is. It is not the same thing as not bringing back a coach between seasons. You invest at the very least a summer with the coach, he runs your practices and your parents and community raise you to trust him, a few games go by and then, not even a week after the previous game, he's gone. The emotions run through every player, no matter the politics. It does affect the kids. Then us adults as fans, parents, and coaches alike expect these teenagers to come out ready to fire on Friday night in spite of the circumstances.
Best of luck to N-Y. Perhaps a change was needed, I'm not going to insert myself there. But I know it can be tough for the kids when they're already looking at a very rough season.

Pushing and shoving is hardly a fight. I'm a little surprised a one game or two game suspension wasn't handed down.

The school board needs to clean house and bring in a complete new coaching staff from outside the area and even the AD for next year! The hole athlete dept. needs cleaned up and all contracts must not be renewed! All most all the current coaches where raised in this area, which leads to personal conflicts! As a property tax payer I agree with the school board except they failed to completely get rid of the problem!
