I thought West did play well at the line of scrimmage. They definitely stopped Valley's run. The receivers for Valley played a great game. Yes, Brian was on.... But the receivers made some very nice catches tonight as well... I saw where it was said (By Jolly Pirate) that Valley has 1 week to get that corrected.... Well, I don't see it that way. The Valley/ Wheelersburg game is what it is. Should be exciting. But to me, Wheelersburg is a bigger school (Not by a lot!!!! But bigger) and they definitely have more depth in that their Sophomore and Junior classes are loaded. I expect a great game that night. BUT, More Importantly to me, I hope we are healthy come week 11 to make another run at the Regionals. There is nothing like playoff football. Bigger than a conference title to me. My Opinion....
What is your point on Burg is the bigger school? By 3 Kids , Burg could have been Division 6, however they still go in Jackson (DIV 3) and played with confidence and expected a win...

I'm guessing here but I think he is saying we are in a diffe rent division in the playoffs so while everyone wants to win the SOC, the playoffs are bigger and burg isn't in our way there. Just guessing though! No one is trying to slight burg at all. They are a great team. I hope Valley can compete with them in 2 weeks.

Must not be too confident in the Indians. Already giving the playoffs are more important than an SOCII title cop out.

It's obvious most of you haven't been around long....LOL. pmow has full confidence in the Indians.
He was being sarcastic about the school size, because that's all that happens on here, but sadly I had to explain this to you guys.

Low Scoring like 2012 game where Valley defeated Wheelersburg 9-7 and in 2013 Valley won 10-7?chicken_coop wrote:Without a doubt. They are stellar on defense, and so is Valley....I know I've heard a lot of people talking shootout, but I see Burg/Valley being a lower scoring ballgame.Jolly P(irate) wrote:I hope so too Pmow. I pull for the Indians after week 9. No hate, just having some fun. But if the Oline is struggling they need to work on that. Burg's D is stout to say the least. Something like 24 points in 7 games? That is pretty outstanding if you ask me.pmow3 wrote:Congratulations Valley on a nice win.

I believe it was 9-7 in 2012 at Valley. And then another defensive battle in 2013 at Wheelersburg where Valley prevailed again 10-7. If Valley is to win, Ithink it will be another defensive battle like those games. Both defenses have proved to be very stout this year.

I wanna know if anyone is gonna "cop out" on giving me 17??
That matters to me a hell of a lot more than playoffs vs. SOC.
A hell of a lot more.

Oh. And if you think it's my job to have full confidence or to believe Valley will win for sure against burg? That is not the case. I will be cheering for Valley. But honestly, I think Wheelersburg has more depth and will be hard to beat. I'm hoping for an exciting game.
The only way (I) could "affect" the outcome, is to be a coach or to spy on the other team somehow.
And I'm not a coach!!!
LOL

You are correct. I knew both years were Low Scoring, Defensive Slobberknockers of games!nutronron2012 wrote:I believe it was 9-7 in 2012 at Valley. I do not think you are far off with this prediction .. I do not see much of a difference from last year 35 to 7 Burg... Instead of a 28 point spread , 17 with this game being at Valley sounds right...

I believe the Burg game will be Valleys first test of this season to see just how good they are...

And I believe Valley will be the first team that Burg has seen that has any form of a passing game at all.Sport Fan wrote:nutronron2012 wrote:I believe it was 9-7 in 2012 at Valley.
