Thoughts on this one? Should be a good one! It's Homecoming for the Raiders.

This is a tough one to call. Since it is at RV, I'll actually go with them to win the low scoring affair 19-14.

Two teams having very good seasons so far. This will be a big bump for the winner.

River Valley has played excellent this year. They are an improved program.

Of course I am going with Alexander. I like the way the defense is playing. If the Spartans continue to take care of the ball, they are going to be tough to beat. Going Alexander 28 - 14.

Go Alex!

Looks like rain is on the way for Friday Night, which could slow down the passing attack of the Raiders.

Alexander has an athletic defense, that could capitalize on any mistakes the weather may cause for the Raiders.

I look for this to be a one score game, with the winner being on the positive side of the turnover battle.

I have seen both teams and have been impressed with both Alexander and River Valley. Big game for both teams still going for the league title. I think this game will be won upfront in the trenches. With the possibility of rain and mud that is even more important. I feel River Valley has the edge on the line on both sides of the ball. I see them pushing Alexander around and stopping the running game, River Valley is just too tough and physical up front. Wont be any holes for Chapman and company.

I think that even though River Valley has the edge in line play, Alex has the better back, and if the forecast holds true, Chapman will be the difference in a 14-13 game.

I'm not so sure Indiana buck that RV has the edge on the line Alexander's line has pretty much dominated or atleast held up
All season and the secondary has been playing well. Come on Buck !! Lol

Low scoring game. The team that makes the most big plays will win, especially if it ends up a rainy, muddy mess.

Alex can pass the ball I have not seen River Valley this year. I heard they like to pound the ball, but then again I heard they are more of a pass team. With that being said, if the weather is good and it is passing game Alex wins a close one. If the weather is bad and RV runs power football. RV by 3 scores. After what VC did to Alex up front out rushed almost tripled time of possession VC200yrds+ to Alex110+. Penalties and turnovers doomed VC

The Spartans defense will hold the Raiders down. I think it will be a very close game for 2 quarters but the Spartans will pull ahead by a couple of td's late.
28-15 Alex.

Alexander scored two defensive touchdowns, of course the offensive yards, play count and time of possession is going to be one sided. VC has a very big offensive line and decided to go with a full dose of #33. They went for it on multiple fourth downs and were successful about 50% of the time. There was only one play where a RB got loose for a long run. I would say the undersized Alexander defense showed well in the VC game, as they have all season.

This is going to be a good game, I trust the defense will make plays.

Go Alex.

It sounds like to me that any rain we do get here in Bidwell, should be out of here by gametime. Now, that still probably means a sloppy, muddy field.....but hopefully no rain during the game! Should be a good one. 2 great defenses! One giving up only 11 points a game (Alexander), the other only giving up 8 points a game (RV). I've been very impressed with the Raider defense. The most points they have given up in a game was 18 to Meigs (8 of Meigs 26 points was scored by Meigs defense), and they have 3 shutouts on the season. Likewise the Alexander defense has been dominate, especially holding Athens to only 14 points. Should be a great one on Friday night in Bidwell!
