RH has been pretty solid passing, in fact I think they should've have been throwing more than they have been. That said, strength is the running game, I wouldn't assume RH will not move the ball, I say play to your strength and pound away, and be opportunistic will the passing. I expect to see some pretty hard hits tonight. Young will have to play hard all game, as will the RH backs, I'm getting excited here, almost game time, GO HILL!!

Not sure what to think, tigers defense seems to be decent but the offence has not gelled at all for some reason, rock hill will not go away easy, just hoping that the offense gets rolling soon, not much time left to get it going but I do think we have a good game or two left. Time to get up and go TIGERS, one at a time, good luck tonight TIGERS! :12222

Ironton with a key fumble in their territory, but Rock Hill fumbles the ball back a few plays later.

It was pretty bad on both sides , however, they killed RH drives with miss marking the ball , blown receptions , facemasking . Really bad . In all honesty , I think RH was the better team tonight .gametime wrote:MVP to the stripes

Really I believe it was a good gamed called well on both sides.gametime wrote:MVP to the stripes
Rock Hill had a chance to control the game and failed to do so.
Rock Hill is a better team than I thought and I hope they win out but the stripes did not determine the game.

Congrats Tigers, was a good game. Redmen played tough but just didn't have enough at the end.

I was listening to the webcast & could hear the rh fans boo'ing from the get go. 3 & outs & And a crazy safety to give rh momentum. What you don't know is OUSC was filming the game to be played locally & they had the advantage of play review IN THE BROADCAST BOOTH.
There were only 2-bad calls, one for each team. IHS had an 19 yard reception to keep a drive alive & he was bobbling the ball as he caught it & did NOT stay in bounds.
The young sack of Knipp was a hard true hit & fumble= IHS ball.
Lastly, DEZ'z third TD, refs said he didn't get in & had to redo,,, his shoulders were 1/2 way across the goal line & they said NO TD. You CANNOT MISS THOSE SHOULDERS.
So, he just turned around & did it again.
RH was good & ready!!! Just couldn't handle Ironton's defense after half. 44 total yds. & NO POINTS for rh after half!!! IRONTON IS improving without Paladino but he sparingly & slowly saw touches. He could be useful, but I think their fine without. He just seems to be mentally not there. The loss of Lucas Campbell on rh's first 3 & out punt really hurt. But ihs had two freshman step up & play.
Good game!

I saw some missed stuff myself. but it looked even to me. rock hill had a 4th and 4 , and to me anyway. it looked like the hard count drew the tiger into the neutral zone. at least to me.yet we were not flagged.but it was obviously made up right afterwards. we did see a substantial amount of late hits out of bounds by the redmen on the ironton sideline. but hey it's a rivalry game. nerves were frayed. I felt the game was called correctly. of course everybody that knows me, they know I have eye problems.
but I give it to rock hill. they had very few players left on the sideline when the starters were out there. they were scrappy and tough. and they played the game closer than the final score of 28-13. my hats off to them.
the tigers have clawed their way back to 500 with a 4-4 record. and a huge game with Chesapeake in panther land Friday. Chesapeake is 7-1.and they just come unglued on Portsmouth and dusted their crops.this will be a huge points game for the winner. rock hill had 11 in the box, and though 90% of the time we still continued to run. ironton found it's recievers on that forward pass thingie in obvious passing downs. dez young is a man child. but he needs to run with his head more up. and throw in a stiff arm more. but he looked great.
both teams have very talented qb's. and it was a very exciting game to watch. both schools had very large crowds and both bands were great. it was a blessing to take in.rock hill finishes with south point at home, and fairland away. barring any major injuries. I see them winning out and finishing up at 6-3.
the fighting tigers have Chesapeake and south point both away to finish out. the Chesapeake game has the panthers at 7-1, with the tiger at 4-4,so this will be for all the candy in the treat bucket and bragging rights in the ovc. so this should be a dandy.
