Like Palapud said, you can dodge competition by having a schedule filled with smaller schools so you have a good record and not make the playoffs, or make it and get throttled. Or you can schedule tough teams your own size from other areas and build a better program. Logan chose the former and may miss the playoffs because of it. So the "Pali" was finally right about something.LoganLocos wrote:Its a definite win and in. Win and the playoffs are definitely possible. Lose and you're probably on the outside looking in.
I dont agree with this at all. Logan is in a situation that the last 3 games are against a very good nonleague team and 2 teams within their own league that are having bad years. How is that their fault? Once again look at the schedule for the 167th time. Logan has 3 teams within their own league on the schedule which are teams they cannot change. Jackson is 6-1. After that you have a d3 state runner up in 2015 who was 30-0 regular season at one point, a D3 playoff power and former state champion in DeSales, a rival of over 30 years who traditionally is a playoff team and another smaller school who has had a history of success and playoff runs but together have a combined record of 2-12; a D2 Teays Valley team that made the playoffs last year and stands 5-2 now; Cambridge who is new to the schedule and Meigs who is 5-2. How exactly is this Logan's fault??? You have 2 teams who have always been in the playoffs having bad years and two league teams having even worse years?? Last time I checked you can only control your own destiny not somebody else's?? I fail to see how this is the consequences of scheduling your league teams, three traditional playoff contenders, a D2 school on the rise, a team with great success over the last 4 seasons and former league member, a 5-2 Meigs team and Cambridge who was D3 and dropped to D4 this year after the schedule was made 2 years ago??!?!?! I am baffled by this logic.
