The coach will not feed the ball to his stud RB and chew up the clock. Instead he runs 2 pass plays and 1 weak qb sneaks and punts while taking 1 minute off the clock.
It mainly has to do with being young......RV has lost 30 Seniors in two years.....oh......and they are having trouble tackling....IMO!!!!

The poor tackling can be attributed to the defense being on the field entirely to much. IMO if they would run the ball more it would open up the passing game a lot more. Do you think opposing coaches don't know that we are going to pass a majority of the time by now and if we run it's going to be a qb keeper? Pretty easy to defend.

All I heard all off-season was how good River Valley and Vinton County would be this year.

In River Valley case, they need to quit playing cupcakes in non league.
I think the kids still need more time in the weight room and on the track. Gotta get stronger, gotta get faster. If your going to run the spread then you have to have some speed.
I do really believe that they can keep building on their recent success.

Welston wins and will finish 5-5. RV wins 1 maybe 2 more games.

I definitely agree with you Orange and Brown.
I believe the schedule for next year in 2018 does improve non-league. Eastern Meigs, and South Point are replaced by Coal Grove and Portsmouth.

Jackson is on the table. As well as Gallia academy Meigs and Point.
His agent will be pulling long hours this off season weighing out the options.

River Valley is young and a work in progress. When a team slips the first person to get the blame is the coach, easy target. Coach Sparling does a good job and has done something at RV that no one else has been able to do, build a program!

Go Raiders!

As a fan of wellston. Jackson will do whatever it takes to get his service. Will even come to his job and stock the shelfs for him
